Copies files conditionally using MD5 checksums
md5cp will traverse a file tree and check the MD5 checksum of each file. If the file is unchanged, it is ignored; if it is changed (or new), its MD5 is updated in the database, and the file is copied to the destination directory. A number of optional parameters can change what happens in addition to the file copy. This utility is useful for situations when file dates are corrupt and rsync cannot be used. This is a simple backup utility for memory sticks. The target is not a full backup utility. It's just to get a redundant copy of a stick on a local machine. Addending to just synchronizing, it doesn't delete files on the target, it does archiving them.
