FileSynq is an easy to use, small Qt program specially designed to help you synchronize 2 folders.

File Tools is a convenience tool to manager different file system(based on Eclipse RCP). It supports mass rename, files/directories compare, advanced search/replace, directories synchronization, cross-platform, etc. Currently, this project is under developing, any idea is welcome.

Filecalibur calculates hashes of the analyzed files (using hashdeep) and stores them in text files. Using this hash files, differences or modifications of files within this collections are identified and used to modify other collections. It uses rsync to synchronize filecollections with each other. In the end Filecalibur does nothing what you would not be able to do by hand - but here you can keep track of several tousand files. If you do backups, Filcalibur ensures you that your backups are really identical.

Filekit is a set of file processing GUI tools that can be put into an USB flash, so that no installation is required. Locates files on your computer or network. Like locate on steroids. Indexes not only all the files in your filesystems, but also those inside archives, filesystem images, and disk images as well. NOTE: For full functionality (reading partitions inside disk images, for example), the project "procb" is also required. There has been a tremendous amount of work done on this project (years, including lots of new filetypes) that has yet to be well-tested, cleaned up and uploaded, so please be patient and occasionally check back. NOTE: command line syntax and parameters have changed in newer versions significantly, to incorporate easy searches and easier database (flat file) creation.

Find is a fast little file search utility. It indexes all file names inside a chosen folder or hard disk, and once this is done it finds the files you are looking for in milliseconds. The results are displayed in a list and can be opened or browsed to.

FindClass is a java program used to find classes in JAR files. All you have to do is specify at least part of class name (or a regular expression), the directory in which to search for JAR files, and whether or not you want to search subdirectories.

The Finder component finds files and directories based on different criteria (name, file size, modification time, etc.) via an intuitive fluent interface. If you install this component outside of a Symfony application, you must require the vendor/autoload.php file in your code to enable the class autoloading mechanism provided by Composer. The $file variable is an instance of Symfony\Component\Finder\SplFileInfo which extends PHP’s own SplFileInfo to provide methods to work with relative paths. The Finder object doesn’t reset its internal state automatically. This means that you need to create a new instance if you do not want to get mixed results. The component provides lots of methods to define the search criteria. They all can be chained because they implement a fluent interface. The location is the only mandatory criteria. It tells the finder which directory to use for the search.

LZO is a compression library which is widely used around the world. The main problem with LZO is that it is absolutely not human readable. People have done crazy stuff to get LZO to run in their language. Usually it implies inline assembly or trying to execute data which actually contains machine code. This is sick. Whoever is responsible for this sorry situation ought to be ashamed. So I'm going to deobfuscate LZO and provide a ISC implementation of this algorithm in Python and C. In addition, I will provide a textual description of the algorithm so that it can be easily ported to any programming language. I expect a severe performance degradation, but I leave optimizing for speed to other people.

Fisy is a simple and lightweight application dedicated to copy and backup files. This application has been designed to perform simple or timestamped copies of directories and files as well as unidirectional synchronization of file tree. Fisy is in command line, you can so start copying tasks at any time or plug them on an automated processing. Sine version 2.0, Fisy contains cipher features for encrypting data for storage in a remote service like the Cloud.
