Maestral is a lightweight Dropbox client for macOS and Linux. It provides powerful command line tools, supports gitignore patterns to exclude local files from syncing, and allows syncing multiple Dropbox accounts. md5cp will traverse a file tree and check the MD5 checksum of each file. If the file is unchanged, it is ignored; if it is changed (or new), its MD5 is updated in the database, and the file is copied to the destination directory. A number of optional parameters can change what happens in addition to the file copy. This utility is useful for situations when file dates are corrupt and rsync cannot be used.
