A self-extracting archiving tool for Unix systems
...This is pretty similar to archives generated with WinZip Self-Extractor in the Windows world. Makeself archives also include checksums for integrity self-validation (CRC and/or MD5/SHA256 checksums). -

autocrc uses 32-bit CRC-sums to verify the integrity of files. The CRC-sums are parsed both from filenames and from sfv-files. autocrc can perform CRC-checks recursively. After it's done it prints a summary of the result.
