This package attempts to reduce the likelihood of sensitive data being exposed when in memory. It aims to support all major operating systems and is written in pure Go. If you don't want to depend Google's protobuf compiler, protoc.lua is a pure Lua module translating text-based protobuf schema content into the *.pb binary format.
