HYBRID is a tiered cache module running in Linux. In other words, It is a hybrid storage that consists of SSD and HDD.
It makes SSD a fully durable and persistent read/write cache.
It guarantees persistency and consistency of dirty data even at a crash or a power failure using general SSDs.
It quickly recovers the flash cache without any data loss.
It is implemented as a Linux kernel module. (tested under Linux kernel 2.6.35 and 3.19.8)
The evaluation was performed with real desktop workloads, showed it outperforms another flash cache by 50%.
