The Simplest Manual Counter
Manual counter with the keyboard or the mouse on images
The only open source counter to count any items the simplest and easiest way with the keyboard, or the mouse specifically on images. After associating a key to each item, or a predefined graphical symbol for images, pressing the key or clicking on the image increments its associated counter, and displays (for the images) the symbol at the mouse's pointer location. Such a project is so simple a child could use it! -

RIPE (Regulatory network Inference from joint Perturbation and Expression data) is a novel three-step method that integrates both perturbation data and steady state gene expression data in order to estimate a regulatory network. The ripe package is written in R, with additional functionality provided by a MATLAB executable file. The executable file uses a runtime engine called the MATLAB Compiler Runtime (MCR). Demonstrate errors in transmission of a file over a noisy channel.
This program was written to dimonstrate errors in transmission for a presentation on Claude Shannon's Noisy Channel Coding Theorem. It takes an input file, the probability of a bit being flipped, and, if specified, the size of the header of the file. The program was intended to take monochrome bitmap files as input, so that each bit refers to a pixel in the image and thus, it would be easy to see errors in the output file, as some of the pixels would be flipped; however, it will work on any input file. -
