    CausalImpact

    CausalImpact

An R package for causal inference in time series

The CausalImpact repository houses an R package that implements causal inference in time series using Bayesian structural time series models. Its goal is to estimate the effect of an intervention (e.g. a marketing campaign, policy change) on a time series outcome by predicting what would have happened in a counterfactual “no intervention” world. The package requires as input a response time series plus one or more control (covariate) time series that are assumed unaffected by the intervention, and it divides the time horizon into “pre-intervention” and “post-intervention” periods. ...

    The Simplest Manual Counter

    The Simplest Manual Counter

Manual counter with the keyboard or the mouse on images

The only open source counter to count any items the simplest and easiest way with the keyboard, or the mouse specifically on images. After associating a key to each item, or a predefined graphical symbol for images, pressing the key or clicking on the image increments its associated counter, and displays (for the images) the symbol at the mouse's pointer location. Such a project is so simple a child could use it!

    Immutable Sparse Wave Trees (WaveTree)

Realtime bigdata tool for bit strings up to 2^63 based on AVL forest

Realtime bigdata tool at the bit level based on immutable AVL forest which can be run in memory or, in future versions, as a merkle forest like a blockchain. Main object is a sparse bit string (Bits) that efficiently scales up to 2^63 bits normally compressed as forest has duplicated substrings. Bits objects support reading bit, byte, short, int, or long (Java primitives) at any bit index in 64 bit range. Example: instead of building a class to hold a header and then data, represent all of...

    FreDec

    Parallelized FREquency DEComposer algorithm

This is a parallelized algorithm performing a decomposition of the time-series data into a number of sinusoidal components, disentangling them from the white Gaussian noise. The algorithm analyses all suspicious frequencies, including the ones that look like an alias at a glance, but may become preferable later. After selection of the initial frequency candidates, the algorithm passes through all their possible combinations and estimates their multi-frequency statistical significance. ...

    Statastizard

    Statistics Wizard

...The idea of this is that the user won't actually need to know that they are using a mann-whitney U over a t-test, for example - it just tests for normality and homoscedastic of variance, and decides which test to use, then reports the results. Why? Because time after time, people come to me with some test that they've done that they think "proves" something - when in reality they've either not done a comparative test to start with (ex. a correlation), failed to test for confounding factors (such as normality etc) and as a result, failed to appropriately identify even the right test to do.
