My application to amend the timings of any video subtitles with the .srt format in just a few clicks. As I was trying to download some open subtitles for my movies, I ran into a problem; they don't always synchronize with the playback timings. Sure, you could amend the timings with a notepad but when you're dealing with hundreds or even thousands of lines of subtitles you will soon realize it will take you some backbreaking hours to just complete one movie. So I wrote this application to solve the problem. No fancy stuffs, straight forward subtitle timing offset.

Clip2Speech is a VB project that reads aloud text from the windows clipboard. It has a cartoon character with a moving mouth that stays in sync with the words being spoken. As the words are read the current word is displayed larger.

Cotovía is a unit-selection text-to-speech system for Galician and Spanish. Cotovía is distributed under the GPL3.0+ license, but each of the avaliable speaker voices has its own license. The speakers available at sourceforge are free for commercial and non-commercial uses. Another speaker, free for non-commercial uses, is avaliable through external links (see the Blog section). Cotovia has been developed by the University de Vigo and the center 'Ramón Piñeiro' for Research in Humanities, both in Galicia, Spain. Its development has involved a research group of linguists and engineers. Cotovía has been developed as a research project, therefore most of the work has been focused on the most interesting aspects from a scientific point of view. Although the performance of the whole TTS system is quite good, there are some parts that could be clearly improved. Cowpie is an application for synchronizing character actions with sound files and animation tools like Blender and 3DS Max. Such actions include the phonemes of speech and facial expressions. Cowpie will also coordinate speech for multiple characters.
