NPEDetector is a tool for statically detecting the dereferences in Java programs that are safe
and those that could potentially result in NullPointerException. Designed to be a sound verifier, NPEDetector guarantees the safety of proven dereferences but could imprecisely flag safe dereferences as faulty. NPEDetector is built using WALA, Watson Libraries For Analysis.
KDD (Kernel Data Disambiguator) is a new automated software analysis tool that can generate a sound kernel data definition for any C-based OS (e.g. Windows and Linux) without any prior knowledge of the OS. KDD disambiguates the pointer-based relations including generic pointers - to infer their candidate types/values - by performing static points-to analysis on the kernel’s source code.
