Amakode is a script for Amarok to transcode music. It has minimal installation dependencies: it is written purely in python (so it runs everywhere) and uses external executables to do the grunt work (which you probably already have installed anyway)
A real time sound processing software. It can be used both, for general audio processing/editing and as a fuzzbox. Based on a very flexible plug-in system, it has been coded in python and currently uses portaudio for sound input/output.
