abcmidi is a library of programs to handle abc music notation files
abcmidi contains a collection of command line utilities for working with abc music notation files. abc2midi converts an abc file into a midi file. abc2abc transposes the contents of an abc file to another key. midi2abc converts a midi file into an abc file. yaps renders the contents of an abc file into common music notation and records it into a PostScript file. mftext presents a textual representation of a midi file. midicopy changes the contents of a midi file and records it in a new midi file. abcmatch searches a database of abc files for certain musical patterns. -

BassScales displays the tab, the bass tab, and the note for a music scale. only the starting note and a steps array have to be provided. When more than one fret combination is available, it can display all of them or only the one specified.

cd-print circle will print nice round cd-labels in postscript. It comes with a simple graphical frontend written in perl/tk. You can choose the size and colour of the letters, the size and the distance between the labels
