Database application for making music using JFugue MusicStrings
...Songs can be developed, tested and edited very quickly and easily by virtue of the database structure and the JFugue MusicString notation. Notes within a MusicString are specified by their name and octave or by their MIDI value and their durations are specified either by character code, or numerically. You can use notes from C0 to G10, corresponding to MIDI values 0 to 127. Middle C is C5.
Songs can be exported to MIDI or WAV for music processing or publishing.
Please visit the Audovia website for more information: https://songbase.github.io/
It allows you to use JFugue-2.1 API to program music on MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1 compatible mobile devices.
It's easy to use, like this code to play C-major scale:
Player player = new Player();
player.play("C D E F G A B");
It's all based on JFugue-2.1 sources, so go to http://www.jfugue.org for more information.
An Arduino board, Spectra Symbol linear potentiometer, and USB/MIDI adapter are used to create a MIDI controller with continuous pitch (as opposed to discrete notes as played on a piano).
The resulting instrument works with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. It has been tested successfully with Acoustica Mixcraft and GarageBand.
Additional features have been added such as buttons to temporarily switch octaves, and a knob which adjusts how quickly the pitch is tuned.

Thank you for your interest in Speedy Composer. Speedy Composer is an automated application for composing melodies for Speedy Net members. We recently made changes to the source code of Speedy Net, and converted it into the Python language and Django framework. Since Speedy Composer was originally written in PHP, it is not adapted to work with Speedy Net in its current form. So unfortunately we were forced to temporarily close the app Speedy Composer. But don't worry, we kept backups of all...
