Open Source MATLAB Software Testing Tools

A highly scalable network emulation tool which emulates dynamic, mobile ad-hoc wireless network topologies in real-time, featuring easy deployment and detailed network models. It was developed in the research project HIDENETS (http://www.hidenets.aau.dk)

We provide MATLAB and Verilog Models of GeAr, and previously proposed adders (ACA-I, ETAII, ACA-II and GDA) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/approxadderlib/ GeAr is a low latency Generic Accuracy Configurable Adder that provides a higher number of potential configurations compared to state-of-the-art approximate adders, thus enabling a high degree of flexibility and trade-off between performance and output quality. These MATALB and Verilog models can allow software programmer as well as hardware designers to evaluate their code and design. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library of approximate adders that facilitates reproducible comparisons and further research and development in this direction across various layers of design abstraction. This work is a result of collaborative effort between Chair for Embedded Systems (CES) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and Vision Image and Signal Processing (VISpro) Lab at SEECS-NUST, Pakistan.

MATmute is a MATLAB code mutation system targeted at developers of scientific software. The package includes a mutator, a MATLAB function to call the mutator and run the mutants, and some examples to demonstrate how to use the system.

mlUnit is a unit testing framework for the MATLAB .m language. It considers the patterns of the xUnit family, include assertions, test cases and suites as well as the fixture. In contrast to MATLAB's own unit test framework: * mlUnit output jUnit compatible XML reports * mlUnit is compatible with Your MATLAB (not just R2013b), down to at least R2006b * mlUnit offers specialised assert functions, e.g. assert_empty, assert_warning, and many more. slUnit is a unit testing framework for Simulink, but not maintained any more.
