    Bundlesize

    Bundlesize

Keep your bundle size in check

Add it to your scripts in package.json. Or you can use it with npx from NPM 5.2+. bundlesize accepts an array of files to check. You can give a different file by using the --config flag. If the names of your build files are not predictable, you can use the glob pattern to specify files. This is common if you append a hash to the name or use a tool like create-react-app/nextjs. It will match multiple files if necessary and create a new row for each file. By default, bundlesize gzips your build files before comparing.

    CAT

    CAT

CAT is the basic component of the server project

CAT is a distributed application performance monitoring and alerting system that specializes in tracking request flows, exceptions, and metrics across microservice ecosystems. It offers real-time dashboards showing throughput, response times, error rates, and service dependency graphs to help operations and development collaborate on reliability issues. In addition to metrics, it enables tracing—propagating context across RPC boundaries so problems like latency spikes or failed calls can be traced end-to-end. Alert rules and anomaly detection can be defined to notify teams proactively. The system supports multiple data backends and ingestion pipelines to collect data from JVM, C/C++, Python, and other ecosystems. With the collected data, Cat supports analysis of hotspots, trending anomalies, and capacity planning to drive continuous reliability improvements.

    Criterion

    Criterion

    A cross-platform C and C++ unit testing framework for the 21st century

Most test frameworks for C require a lot of boilerplate code to set up tests and test suites -- you need to create a main, then register new test suites, then register the tests within these suites, and finally call the right functions. This gives the user great control, at the unfortunate cost of simplicity. Criterion follows the KISS principle, while keeping the control the user would have with other frameworks. Supports parameterized tests and theories. Progress and statistics can be followed in real time with report hooks. TAP output format can be enabled with an option. Runs on Linux, FreeBSD, macOS, and Windows (Compiling with MinGW GCC and Visual Studio 2015+). If you'd like to see Criterion included in your favorite distribution, please reach out to their package maintainers team. A default entry point is provided, no need to declare a main unless you want to do special handling.

    FuzzBench

    FuzzBench

FuzzBench - Fuzzer benchmarking as a service

FuzzBench is a large-scale, open research platform developed by Google to evaluate and benchmark fuzzers — automated software testing tools that detect vulnerabilities through randomized input generation. It provides a standardized, reproducible environment for comparing the performance and effectiveness of different fuzzing algorithms on real-world software targets. FuzzBench integrates with the OSS-Fuzz infrastructure, allowing it to run experiments on authentic open source projects and collect meaningful data on crash discovery rates, code coverage, and bug-finding efficiency. The service includes an easy-to-use API for integrating custom fuzzers and an automated reporting system that generates detailed statistical analyses, comparative graphs, and significance testing. By running experiments at Google scale, FuzzBench ensures consistent, unbiased, and data-driven evaluations that support academic and industrial fuzzing research.

    Gatling Studio

    Gatling Studio

Desktop app that helps you craft Gatling load-testing simulations

Gatling Studio is a native desktop application created to simplify the creation of Gatling load-testing simulations from real browser traffic. Instead of hand-writing scenarios in Scala or Java from scratch, you use Gatling Studio to drive a Chromium-based browser through a typical user journey. The tool captures all HTTP and HTTPS requests and responses, saves them as a HAR file, and then automatically converts that data into a structured Gatling project with groups, pauses, and exec blocks. It includes logic to filter out noisy or irrelevant requests such as font files, analytics beacons, and static assets, so the generated scenario focuses on the core business interactions. The output is a ready-to-run Gatling project (Java/Maven) that can be executed locally or uploaded to Gatling Enterprise to run at scale. Gatling Studio targets performance engineers and QA teams who want a low-code path from “record what a user does in the browser” to “run a realistic load test.”

    NUnit 3 Framework

    NUnit 3 Framework

    NUnit 3 Framework

NUnit is a unit-testing framework for all .Net languages. Initially ported from JUnit, the current production release, version 3, has been completely rewritten with many new features and support for a wide range of .NET platforms. NUnit is intended to be extensible. We can't do everything for everybody but we want to make it reasonably easy to extend NUnit. In many cases, users will be able to implement a special feature outside of our scope by simply creating a new attribute that embeds the required logic. In other cases, particularly in extending the engine, we rely on a plugin architecture. When running tests in a separate process, the console and gui runners make use of the NUnit Agent program, nunit-agent.exe. Although not directly run by users, nunit-agent does load and execute tests and users need to be aware of it, especially when debugging is involved.

    React Screenshot Test

    React Screenshot Test

A dead simple library to screenshot test React components

A dead simple library to screenshot test React components. Under the hood, we start a local server that renders components server-side. Each component is given its own dedicated page (e.g. /render/my-component). Then we use Puppeteer to take a screenshot of that page. If you work on a team where developers use a different OS (e.g. Mac OS and Linux), or if you develop on Mac OS but use Linux for continuous integration, you would quickly run into issues where screenshots are inconsistent across platforms. This is, for better or worse, expected behavior. In order to work around this issue, react-screenshot-test will default to running Puppeteer (i.e. Chrome) inside Docker to take screenshots of your components. This ensures that generated screenshots are consistent regardless of which platform you run your tests on.

    Sinon.JS

    Sinon.JS

Test spies, stubs and mocks for JavaScript

Standalone test spies, stubs and mocks for JavaScript. Works with any unit testing framework. As before, Sinon.JS provides utilities that help test frameworks reduce the boiler-plate. As of Sinon 10 we stopped maintaining compatibility with legacy browsers. Instead, we focus on compatibility with evergreen browsers, Node.js LTS versions and recent Safari versions. The most up-to-date reference on which runtimes and browsers we support can be found by looking at our compatibility docs. Fake timers are synchronous implementations of setTimeout and friends that Sinon.JS can overwrite the global functions with to allow you to more easily test code using them. A test spy is a function that records arguments, return value, the value of this and exception thrown (if any) for all its calls. There are two types of spies: Some are anonymous functions, while others wrap methods that already exist in the system under test. Mocks should only be used for the method under test.

    Testinfra

    Testinfra

    Testinfra test your infrastructures

With Testinfra you can write unit tests in Python to test the actual state of your servers configured by management tools like Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef and so on. Testinfra aims to be a Serverspec equivalent in python and is written as a plugin to the powerful Pytest test engine. By default Testinfra launches tests on the local machines, but you can also test remotes systems using paramiko. If you have a lot of tests, you can use the pytest-xdist plugin to run tests using multiple processes. When installing, you should select the backends you require as extras to ensure Python dependencies are satisfied (note various system packaged tools may still be required). This is the default backend when a hosts list is provided. Paramiko is a Python implementation of the SSHv2 protocol. Testinfra will not ask you for a password, so you must be able to connect without a password (using passwordless keys or using ssh-agent).

    Wraith

    Wraith

    A responsive screenshot comparison tool

Wraith is a screenshot comparison tool, created by developers at BBC News. Wraith uses a headless browser to create screenshots of webpages on different environments (or at different moments in time) and then creates a diff of the two images; the affected areas are highlighted in blue. There are two main modes for using Wraith, 'capture' mode and 'history' mode. Wraith has some built-in JavaScript and configuration file templates for you to get started with right away. If you wish to take screenshots of a component rather than the entire page, use casperjs and pass a selector along with your paths. In the 'component' example config, you can see how we specify a component name, domain path and selector we want to capture. All config options will be placed in a YAML config file. You set the headless browser, diff mode, threshold, fuzz amount and screen widths.

    govaluate

    govaluate

    Arbitrary expression evaluation for golang

Sometimes, you can't know ahead-of-time what an expression will look like, or you want those expressions to be configurable. Perhaps you've got a set of data running through your application, and you want to allow your users to specify some validations to run on it before committing it to a database. Or maybe you've written a monitoring framework which is capable of gathering a bunch of metrics, then evaluating a few expressions to see if any metrics should be alerted upon, but the conditions for alerting are different for each monitor. A lot of people wind up writing their own half-baked style of evaluation language that fits their needs but isn't complete. Or they wind up baking the expression into the actual executable, even if they know it's subject to change. These strategies may work, but they take time to implement, time for users to learn, and induce technical debt as requirements change.

    jest-puppe-shots

    jest-puppe-shots

A Jest plugin for creating screenshots of React components

A Jest plugin for creating screenshots of React components with a little help of Puppeteer. A jest-puppy-shots is a Jest plugin that can help you create Visual Regression tests for your React components. If you ever used Enzyme or Snapshots you will love the jest-puppe-shots. The Snapshot testing approach is really awesome but it has one downside: it cannot be used to make visual regression tests of your components. Thanks to the Puppeteer API it's now possible to use the Chromium browser in Jest and create real screenshots of your components.
