    Diffy

    Diffy

Find potential bugs in your services with Diffy

Diffy is a traffic-shadowing and response-diffing tool that helps you validate a new version of a service against a trusted baseline before a full cutover. It acts as a proxy that fans out real production requests to three backends: the current “primary,” a “candidate” (new build), and a “shadow” baseline, then compares responses to detect behavioral differences. By using live traffic rather than synthetic tests, Diffy surfaces edge cases and data-dependent discrepancies that unit tests often miss. It provides mechanisms to normalize noise (timestamps, IDs, ordering) so diffs reflect meaningful regressions rather than incidental variance. Results are aggregated and visualized so teams can triage by endpoint, response field, or error type, turning release validation into a data-driven process. Built on Twitter’s Finagle stack, Diffy demonstrates a practical pattern for continuous verification and safer deployments in microservice environments.

    Disk Diagnostic

    Disk diagnostic for disk/controler/driver testing

This is a cli disk diagnostic that runs under Windows, Linux and DOS/BIOS. It is a traditional disk diagnostic in the style of diagnostics going back into the 1960's and the first disk drives. Although CLI driven, I have found it more useful that many other types of diagnostics for disk, controller and driver development than GJI based diagnostics. The command forms are terse, and it allows either use as an immediate mode debugger of drives or it can be used to form full testing scripts. It is fairly compact at 4069 lines for the main module, and features plug in IO modules at about 500 lines each for both Windows and Linux, and DOS/BIOS. The project has been running at 6-20 downloads per week. Please if you have time write a short review or leave user comments in the discussion forums. Thank you.

    Easy Coverage for Java

Dynamically generated unit tests for basic verifications.

Easy Coverage is a tool that can dynamically generate unit tests to perform basic verifications, thus leaving more time for the developers. When writing unit tests, developers often have to write the same elementary verifications over and over for most classes. This is tedious and error-prone, and keeps developers away from writing more meaningful unit tests. Easy Coverage is extensible and highly configurable. It can work as a standalone product, or be used with JUnit, which is highly recommended. Support for TestNG is planned. If you want to get started, you should go to the wiki and the quick start.
