    Catch2

    Catch2

A modern, C++-native, test framework for unit-tests, TDD and BDD

A modern, C++-native, test framework for unit-tests, TDD and BDD - using C++14, C++17 and later (C++11 support is in v2.x branch, and C++03 on the Catch1.x branch). Catch2 is mainly a unit testing framework for C++, but it also provides basic micro-benchmarking features and simple BDD macros. Catch2's main advantage is that using it is both simple and natural. Test names do not have to be valid identifiers, assertions look like normal C++ boolean expressions, and sections provide a nice and local way to share set-up and tear-down code in tests. You are on the devel branch, where the v3 version is being developed. v3 brings a bunch of significant changes, the big one being that Catch2 is no longer a single-header library. ...

    redux-saga

    redux-saga

An alternative side effect model library for Redux applications

...The mental model is that a saga is like a separate thread in your application that's solely responsible for side effects. redux-saga is a redux middleware, which means this thread can be started, paused and cancelled from the main application with normal redux actions, it has access to the full redux application state and it can dispatch redux actions as well. It uses an ES6 feature called Generators to make those asynchronous flows easy to read, write and test. (if you're not familiar with them here are some introductory links) By doing so, these asynchronous flows look like your standard synchronous JavaScript code. ...

    Hermione

    Hermione

Browser test runner based on mocha and wdio

...When tests are run one by one, it takes a lot of time. Hermione can run tests in parallel sessions in different browsers out of the box. Running of too many tests in parallel can lead to the overloading of the main process CPU usage which causes degradation in test passing time, so Hermione runs all tests in subprocesses in order to solve this problem.

    Booster

    Booster

    Optimizer for mobile applications

...Using booster, the stability of application can be increased by 15% ~ 25%, and the package size can be reduced by 1MB ~ 10MB. Potential performance issues could be found by using Booster, for example, calling APIs that may block the UI thread or main thread, such as I/O APIs. Thread management has always been a problem for developers, especially the threads started by third-party SDKs, starting too many threads may cause OOM, fortunately, these issues can be solved by Booster.

    Drill

    Drill

Drill is an HTTP load testing application written in Rust

Drill is an HTTP load-testing application written in Rust. The main goal for this project is to build a really lightweight tool as an alternative to other that require JVM and other stuff. You can write benchmark files, in YAML format, describing all the stuff you want to test. It was inspired by Ansible syntax because it is really easy to use and extend. As you can see, you can play with interpolations in different ways.

    KIF

    KIF

    An iOS functional testing framework

...It allows for easy automation of iOS apps by leveraging the accessibility attributes that the OS makes available for those with visual disabilities. KIF builds and performs the tests using a standard XCTest testing target. Testing is conducted synchronously in the main thread (running the run loop to force the passage of time) allowing for more complex logic and composition. This also allows KIF to take advantage of the Xcode Test Navigator, command line build tools, and Bot test reports. KIF uses undocumented Apple APIs. This is true of most iOS testing frameworks, and is safe for testing purposes, but it's important that KIF does not make it into production code, as it will get your app submission denied by Apple. ...

    nodejs-integration-tests-best-practices

    nodejs-integration-tests-best-practices

Beyond the basics of Node.js testing

Component/integration test is a hybrid between E2E and unit tets. It's gaining a lot of popularity and going by the testing diamond model it is considered as the default technique for the modern backend. Its main idea is testing an entire component (e.g., Microservice) as-is, through the API, with all the layers including the database but fake anything extraneous. This brings both high confidence and great developer experience. However, doing it right, fast, exhaustive and maximizing the value demand some learning and skills. This is the mission statement of this repo. ...

    dockerize

    dockerize

Utility to simplify running applications in docker containers

...It allows you to generate application configuration files at container startup time from templates and container environment variables. generate application configuration files at container startup time from templates and container environment variables. Wait for other services to be available using TCP, HTTP(S), unix before starting the main process. The typical use case for dockerize is when you have an application that has one or more configuration files and you would like to control some of the values using environment variables. Another use case is when the application logs to specific files on the filesystem and not stdout or stderr. This makes it difficult to troubleshoot the container using the docker logs command.

    ESP8266 Deauther Version 2

    ESP8266 Deauther Version 2

Affordable WiFi hacking platform for testing and learning

...It is command-line based, which allows it to offer not just more features, but make them more customizable. This software allows you to easily perform a variety of actions to test 802.11 wireless networks by using an inexpensive ESP8266 WiFi SoC (System On A Chip). The main feature, the deauthentication attack, is used to disconnect devices from their WiFi network. No one seems to care about this huge vulnerability in the official 802.11 WiFi standard, so I took action and enabled everyone who has less than 10 USD to spare to recreate this project. I hope it raises more attention on the issue. In 2009 the WiFi Alliance actually fixed the problem (see 802.11w), but only a few companies implemented it into their devices and software.

    Wraith

    Wraith

    A responsive screenshot comparison tool

...Wraith uses a headless browser to create screenshots of webpages on different environments (or at different moments in time) and then creates a diff of the two images; the affected areas are highlighted in blue. There are two main modes for using Wraith, 'capture' mode and 'history' mode. Wraith has some built-in JavaScript and configuration file templates for you to get started with right away. If you wish to take screenshots of a component rather than the entire page, use casperjs and pass a selector along with your paths. In the 'component' example config, you can see how we specify a component name, domain path and selector we want to capture. ...
