PMVLinux is a network system for Windows clients. It is designed to be user friendly and easy to administrate. It includes software to manage users and logon scripts. It is targeted at networks of a range of sizes, from home to smaller business networks.

Created as a more sensible alternative to MacPorts, Fink, and Homebrew, Pacmac was inspired by Archlinux's pacman, but is not a port. All files except packages are plain text, and all executables are scripts.
