A Jupyter server extension to proxy requests with AWS SigV4 authentication. This server extension enables the usage of the AWS JavaScript/TypeScript SDK to write Jupyter frontend extensions without having to export AWS credentials to the browser. A single /awsproxy endpoint is added on the Jupyter server which receives incoming requests from the browser, uses the credentials on the server to add SigV4 authentication to the request, and then proxies the request to the actual AWS service endpoint. All requests are proxied back-and-forth as-is, e.g., a 4xx status code from the AWS service will be relayed back as-is to the browser. Using this requries no additional dependencies in the client-side code. Just use the regular AWS JavaScript/TypeScript SDK methods and add any dummy credentials and change the endpoint to the /awsproxy endpoint. -

The "Security Companies" might say so to sell more of their products. But no, binary obfuscation won't magically fix all your exploits and bugs, (If not introducing more). Designing an Obfuscator is hard, and keeping the source open definitely leaks the pattern to crackers which could potentially make the crackers' life easier if they have the right skillset. While every reasonable attempt has been made in Hikari to reduce such patterns from appearing, however, with overkill weapons like symbolic execution, binary obfuscation can still be defeated much easier, even so-called VM-based obfuscation. DOI 10.1145/2991079.2991114 explained this in great detail. I would implement a few anti-SE mechanisms in the future in an attempt to cause (even) more trouble to attackers, though. -

Provide IAM credentials to containers running inside a Kubernetes cluster based on annotations. Traditionally in AWS, service level isolation is done using IAM roles. IAM roles are attributed through instance profiles and are accessible by services through the transparent usage by the aws-sdk of the ec2 metadata API. When using the aws-sdk, a call is made to the EC2 metadata API which provides temporary credentials that are then used to make calls to the AWS service. The problem is that in a multi-tenanted containers based world, multiple containers will be sharing the underlying nodes. Given containers will share the same underlying nodes, providing access to AWS resources via IAM roles would mean that one needs to create an IAM role which is a union of all IAM roles. This is not acceptable from a security perspective. -

This project now hosts the third-generation of Java SSH API, Maverick Synergy. This API builds on the Maverick Legacy commercial APIs and delivers a new API in a unified client/server framework. This API is available to the community under the LGPL open source license. This update includes ed25519 support, support for the new OpenSSH private key file format and stronger key exchange algorithms. The project continues to host both the original API and legacy applications created around it, however, these are now considered deprecated and we do not recommend their use in anyway.
