    Crosvm

    Crosvm

The Chrome OS Virtual Machine Monitor

crosvm (ChromeOS Virtual Machine Monitor) is a secure, lightweight virtual machine monitor built on top of the Linux KVM hypervisor. Developed for ChromeOS, it is designed to isolate and execute Linux and Android guests efficiently while maintaining strong security boundaries. Unlike general-purpose emulators like QEMU, crosvm avoids full hardware emulation and focuses on modern paravirtualized I/O using the virtio standard, reducing complexity and attack surface. ...

    Aglais XQVM

    Aglais XQVM

A rust implementation of the Quip Network's quantum virtual machine

...It integrates with the broader Quip ecosystem, allowing it to function as part of a larger protocol stack that includes blockchain infrastructure and node management tools. The virtual machine abstraction enables developers to define and execute computational logic in a controlled environment, potentially bridging classical and quantum paradigms. Its design suggests use cases in advanced computation, cryptography, or experimental distributed systems.

    Kata Containers

    Kata Containers

Build a standard implementation of lightweight Virtual Machines (VMs)

Kata Containers is an open source container runtime, building lightweight virtual machines that seamlessly plug into the container ecosystem. Kata Containers is an open source community working to build a secure container runtime with lightweight virtual machines that feel and perform like containers, but provide stronger workload isolation using hardware virtualization technology as a second layer of defense. Since launching in December 2017, the community successfully merged the best parts...

    Gleam

    Gleam

A friendly language for building type-safe, scalable systems!

...It also serves as a productive refactoring tool, enabling programmers to confidently make large changes to unfamiliar code, quickly and with low risk. For problems, the type system can't solve (such as your server being hit by a bolt of lightning) the Erlang virtual machine provides well-tested mechanisms for gracefully handling failure. Hunting down bugs can be stressful so Gleam's compiler provides clear and helpful feedback about any problems. We want to spend more time developing features and less time looking for bugs or deciphering cryptic error messages. Gleam builds on top of the Erlang virtual machine, a best-in-class runtime that has enabled companies such as Discord, Ericsson, Heroku, and WhatsApp to provide low-latency services at a global scale. ...

    Solang

    Solang

Solidity Compiler for Solana, Polkadot and Stellar

Solang is a modern Solidity compiler written in Rust that enables developers to compile smart contracts for multiple blockchain platforms beyond Ethereum, such as Solana, Polkadot, and Soroban. Unlike the traditional Solidity compiler, which targets the Ethereum Virtual Machine, Solang focuses on portability by translating Solidity code into native execution environments for different blockchains. It uses the LLVM compiler framework to generate optimized output, often producing WebAssembly or platform-specific binaries that improve execution efficiency and reduce resource consumption. The project maintains compatibility with Solidity 0.8 syntax while adapting to the unique constraints and capabilities of each target blockchain. ...

    ZAPH

Tools and Z80 engine for creating adventure games. (RUST)

This is an exercise in some advance programming topics using a text adventure as the central result. This originally began as a project to recreate an old BASIC text adventure, on the ZX Spectrum, using Z80. After developing a very simple byte code VM to handle the game interactions, I realised that there was an opportunity to use some more advance techniques, which in turn can lead to some PC based tools.
