This Pascal compiler was created by the Computer Science Department of SUNY in Stony Brook back in 1975. The Pascal compiler generates code for the IBM 360 and is written in XPL. This project includes the source code for the Pascal compiler and the XPL compiler. This project also includes an IBM/360 simulator capable of running the output of both the Pascal compiler and the XPL compiler. The simulator is written in C and can run on most machines with a C compiler. -

Version 2.0 is completely reworked in 2014 to compile and run with GCC and STL to make it fully portable and accessible to all computer platforms. -

I hope to have it compiling for the Amiga (also using Highspeed Pascal), and supporting a built in p-code compiler/interpreter for cross platform development. -

However, this initial version is more of a "Proof of Concept" and engine for PGME. Rather than an actual project. It has some serious limitations. Since it was built in a "vacuum" with no pre-planning, it is a little bit of spaghetti code. Also, it doesn't support real windowing, multi-tasking or draw behind visible objects. A real Win32 extensible passive debugger
This project born a few years ago when I encountered a fatal bug on a production environment, unfortunately not replicable on my development machine. I spent many time finding a solution, using also freeware and commercial third-party tools and libraries, but none helped me because the bug crashed the process, and no of the above tools could be able to catch the exception before the process dying.
