PureGEM started out as a VCL/LCL style library written in PurePascal. After the system was working, I saw ways to increase the speed while reducing code size, so the design drifted somewhat. Since PurePascal is "Turbo Pascal 7.0 compatible" a number of VCL style features needed to be implemented differently. Namely TNotifyEvent's are replaced with owner recursive methods. However, this initial version is more of a "Proof of Concept" and engine for PGME. Rather than an actual project. It has some serious limitations. This project born a few years ago when I encountered a fatal bug on a production environment, unfortunately not replicable on my development machine. I spent many time finding a solution, using also freeware and commercial third-party tools and libraries, but none helped me because the bug crashed the process, and no of the above tools could be able to catch the exception before the process dying. -
