ThinORM
A lightweight ORM that does not require annotations.
This project was the result of working on systems constrained to versions of Java < 1.5 and including a great deal of code dealing with object persistence. This project was essentially a proof-of-concept to determine whether or not I could create, essentially, an alternative to JPA that did not rely on annotations. I was able to create a working system, and a fairly lightweight one at that, but it would require a great deal of work to be production ready. -

...The first version was never intended to be distributed and was only for education purpose, but after uploading it on some websites and seeing that it was downloaded more than 30,000 times I decided to rewrite it. The Version 1.2 was almost completly rewrited with a new GUI, a lot of bugs fixed, new icon and some performance enhancement. I hope this version will please those who downloaded it before. -

You dont change variables. You create new data that points at existing constant data, as deep as you need it. I have mindmap lists, definitions, and 2 editable properties working that way with 2 kinds of event listeners that work locally. Its not a networked system yet, but the datastructs are ready to scale with it. -
