    progressbar

    progressbar

A really basic thread-safe progress bar for Golang applications

A very simple thread-safe progress bar that should work on every OS without problems. I needed a progress bar for croc and everything I tried had problems, so I made another one. In order to be OS agnostic I do not plan to support multi-line outputs. The progressbar implements an io.Writer, so it can automatically detect the number of bytes written to a stream, so you can use it as a progress bar for an io. Reader. A progress bar with an unknown length is a spinner. ...

    fgprof

    fgprof

fgprof is a sampling Go profiler that allows you to analyze On-CPU

fgprof is a sampling Go profiler that allows you to analyze On-CPU as well as Off-CPU (e.g. I/O) time together. Go's builtin sampling CPU profiler can only show On-CPU time, but it's better than fgprof at that. Go also includes tracing profilers that can analyze I/O, but they can't be combined with the CPU profiler. fgprof is designed for analyzing applications with mixed I/O and CPU workloads. This kind of profiling is also known as wall-clock profiling.

    Air Go

    Air Go

    Live reload for Go apps

When I get started with developing websites in Go and gin framework, it's a pity that gin lacks live-reloading function. In fact, I tried fresh and it seems not much flexible, so I intended to rewrite it in a better way. Air is yet another live-reloading command line utility for Go applications in development. Just air in your project root directory, leave it alone, and focus on your code.

    nFPM

    nFPM

A simple deb, rpm and apk packager written in Go

nFPM is a simple, 0-dependencies, deb, rpm, apk, and Arch Linux packager. While fpm is great, for me, it is a bummer that it depends on ruby, tar and other software. I wanted something that could be used as a binary and/or as a library and that was really simple. So I decided to create nFPM: a simpler, 0-dependency, as-little-assumptions-as-possible alternative to fpm. This is a subtle way of saying it won't have all features, nor all formats that fpm has: it is supposed to be simpler. And that's OK!...

    PingMe

    PingMe

PingMe is a CLI which provides the ability to send messages or alerts

PingMe is a personal project to satisfy my need to have alerts, most major platforms have integration to send alerts but it's not always useful, either you are stuck with one particular platform, or you have to do a lot of integrations. I needed a small utility that I could just call from my backup scripts, cron jobs, CI/CD pipelines, or from anywhere to send a message with particular information. And I can ship it everywhere with ease. Hence, the birth of PingMe. Everything is configurable via environment variables, and you can simply export the logs or messages to a variable that will be sent as a message, most of all this serves as a swiss army knife sort of tool that supports multiple platforms.

    pet

    pet

Simple command-line snippet manager, written in Go

...You can use variables (param or param=default_value ) in snippets. pet is written in Go, and therefore you can just grab the binary releases and drop it in your $PATH. pet is a simple command-line snippet manager (inspired by memo). I always forget commands that I rarely use. Moreover, it is difficult to search them from shell history. There are many similar commands, but they are all different. Register your command snippets easily. Use variables in snippets. Search snippets interactively. Run snippets directly. Edit snippets easily (config is just a TOML file). ...

    go-chart

    go-chart

go chart is a basic charting library in go

...Whenever a developer sets a property on the chart object, it is to be assumed that value will be used instead of the default. The best way to see the api in action is to look at the examples in the ./_examples/ directory. I wanted to make a charting library that used only native golang, that could be stood up on a server (i.e. it had built-in fonts). The goal with the API itself is to have the "zero value be useful", and to require the user to not code more than they absolutely needed.

    GopherLua

    GopherLua

GopherLua: VM and compiler for Lua in Go

GopherLua is a Lua5.1(+ goto statement in Lua5.2) VM and compiler written in Go. GopherLua has the same goal as Lua: To be a scripting language with extensible semantics. It provides Go APIs that allow you to easily embed a scripting language to your Go host programs. The stack-based API like the one used in the original Lua implementation will cause a performance improvement in GopherLua (It will reduce memory allocations and concrete type <-> interface conversions). GopherLua API is not a...

    Joker

Small Clojure interpreter, linter and formatter

...(Note use of --file, in this case, to ensure <filename> is not treated as a <socket> specification for the reply.) Our goal is to be suitable for scripting (lightweight, fast startup). This is something that Clojure is not good at and my personal itch I am trying to scratch. Also, to provide some tooling for Clojure and its dialects. Joker has linter mode which can be used for linting Joker, Clojure and ClojureScript code.

    Mergo

    Mergo

Mergo: merging Go structs and maps since 2013

...Also a lovely comune (municipality) in the Province of Ancona in the Italian region of Marche. Keep in mind that in 0.3.2, Mergo changed Merge()and Map() signatures to support transformers. I added an optional/variadic argument so that it won't break the existing code. You can only merge same-type structs with exported fields initialized as zero value of their type and same-types maps. Mergo won't merge unexported (private) fields but will do recursively any exported one. It won't merge empty structs value as they are zero values too.

    kubefwd

    kubefwd

Bulk port forwarding Kubernetes services for local development

Kubernetes port forwarding for local development. kubefwd is a command line utility built to port forward multiple services within one or more namespaces on one or more Kubernetes clusters. kubefwd uses the same port exposed by the service and forwards it from a loopback IP address on your local workstation. kubefwd temporally adds domain entries to your /etc/hosts file with the service names it forwards. When working on our local workstation, my team and I often build applications that access services through their service names and ports within a Kubernetes namespace. kubefwd allows us to develop locally with services available as they would be in the cluster.

    go-resiliency

    Resiliency patterns for golang

...Currently implemented patterns include circuit-breaker (in the breaker directory), semaphore (in the semaphore directory), deadline/timeout (in the deadline directory), batching (in the batcher directory), retriable (in the retrier directory). I will occasionally bump the minimum required Golang version without bumping the major version of this package, which violates the official Golang packaging convention around breaking changes. Typically the versions being dropped are multiple years old and long unsupported.

    Alternative JSON parser for Go

    Alternative JSON parser for Go

One of the fastest alternative JSON parser for Go

...Originally made for a project that relies on a lot of 3rd party APIs that can be unpredictable and complex. Encoding/json requires you to know exactly your data structures, or if you prefer to use map[string]interface{} instead, it will be very slow and hard to manage. I investigated what's on the market and found that most libraries are just wrappers around encoding/json, there is few options with own parsers (ffjson, easyjson), but they still require you to create data structures. The goal of this project is to push JSON parser to the performance limits and not sacrifice with compliance and developer user experience.

    goquery

    goquery

A little like that j-thing, only in Go

...Syntax-wise, it is as close as possible to jQuery, with the same function names when possible, and that warm and fuzzy chainable interface. jQuery being the ultra-popular library that it is, I felt that writing a similar HTML-manipulating library was better to follow its API than to start anew (in the same spirit as Go's fmt package), even though some of its methods are less than intuitive (looking at you, index()...).

    gojq

    gojq

    Pure Go implementation of jq

...You can also embed gojq as a library to your Go products. gojq is purely implemented with Go language and is completely portable. jq depends on the C standard library so the availability of math functions depends on the library. jq also depends on the regular expression library and it makes building scripts complex. gojq implements nice error messages for invalid query and JSON input. The error message of jq is sometimes difficult to tell where to fix the query. gojq does not keep the order of object keys. I understand this might cause problems for some scripts but basically, we should not rely on the order of object keys. Due to this limitation, gojq does not have the keys_unsorted function and --sort-keys (-S) option. gojq supports arbitrary-precision integer calculation while jq does not; jq loses the precision of large integers when calculation is involved.

    Tiny WebSocket library for Go

Zero-copy upgrade. No intermediate allocations during I/O. Low-level API which allows building your own logic of packet handling and buffers reuse. High-level wrappers and helpers around API in wsutil package, which allow to start fast without digging the protocol internals. Existing WebSocket implementations do not allow users to reuse I/O buffers between connections in clear way. Example for the go pkg's function

...The project organizes content so that each package has its own directory and each function within that package gets its own Markdown file with code examples. The idea is that developers can quickly look up “how do I actually use this function?” without digging through source code or scattered blog posts. The maintainer provides conventions for naming and formatting, and requires that submitted examples compile and run locally or on the Go Playground, which helps keep the collection reliable.
