PRTG Catches Network Issues Before They Cause Downtime

Threshold-based alerts flag problems early, so your team can act before users notice, not after.

Reactive troubleshooting usually means hearing about a problem from frustrated users, not your monitoring tool. PRTG sets threshold-based alerts across devices, servers and applications, notifying your team by email, SMS or push the moment a metric crosses a set limit. That means catching a failing disk or overloaded server before it becomes an outage and getting time back from firefighting. Start a free trial and set your first alerts today.

    gopsutil

    gopsutil

    psutil for golang

gopsutil tag policy is almost same as Semantic Versioning but automatically increases like Ubuntu versioning. gopsutil aims to keep backward compatibility until a major version change. Tagged at the end of the month, but if there are only a few commits, it can be skipped. All works are implemented without cgo by porting C structs to golang structs.

    wazero

    wazero

The zero dependency WebAssembly runtime for Go developers

wazero is a zero-dependency WebAssembly runtime written in Go that enables developers to execute WebAssembly modules directly within Go applications without relying on external toolchains or CGO. It fully implements the WebAssembly core specification and supports both interpreter and compiler execution modes, allowing developers to choose between portability and performance. One of its defining characteristics is its pure Go implementation, which simplifies cross-compilation and deployment across different platforms. Wazero is designed to securely run code compiled from other languages, leveraging WebAssembly’s sandboxing model to isolate execution and reduce risk. ...

    CFSSL

    CFSSL

    Cloudflare's PKI and TLS toolkit

...Users of these distributions should install go manually to install CFSSL. You can set the GOOS and GOARCH environment variables to have Go cross compile for alternative platforms; however, cfssl requires cgo, and cgo requires a working compiler toolchain for the target platform. The csr is the client's certificate request. The -ca and -ca-key flags are the CA's certificate and private key, respectively. By default, they are ca.pem and ca_key.pem. The -hostname is a comma separated hostname list that overrides the DNS names and IP address in the certificate SAN extension.

    GoNB

    GoNB

GoNB, a Go Notebook Kernel for Jupyter

...GoNB leverages that compilation speed to implement a full-featured (at least it's getting there) Jupyter notebook kernel. As a side benefit it works with packages that use CGO — although it won't parse C code in the cells, so it can't be used as a C kernel. It already includes many goodies: cache between cell of results, contextual help and auto-complete (with gopls), compilation error context (by mousing over), bash command execution, images, html, etc. See the tutorial. It's been heavily used by the author (in developing GoMLX, a machine learning framework for Go), but should still be seen as experimental — if we hear success stories from others, we can change this.

    ko Easy Go Containers

    ko Easy Go Containers

Build and deploy Go applications on Kubernetes

ko is a simple, fast container image builder for Go applications. It's ideal for use cases where your image contains a single Go application without any/many dependencies on the OS base image (e.g., no cgo, no OS package dependencies). ko builds images by effectively executing go build on your local machine, and as such doesn't require docker to be installed. This can make it a good fit for lightweight CI/CD use cases. ko makes multi-platform builds easy, produces SBOMs by default, and includes support for simple YAML templating which makes it a powerful tool for Kubernetes applications.

    The Tengo Language

    The Tengo Language

A fast script language for Go

...Tengo is fast and secure because it's compiled/executed as bytecode on stack-based VM that's written in native Go. Securely Embeddable and Extensible. Compiler/runtime written in native Go (no external deps or cgo). Executable as a standalone language / REPL. Use cases, rules engine, state machine, data pipeline, transpiler. If you need to evaluate a simple expression, you can use Eval function instead.

    TinyGo

    TinyGo

    Go compiler for small place

...It reuses libraries used by the Go language tools alongside LLVM to provide an alternative way to compile programs written in the Go programming language. While TinyGo embeds the Clang compiler to parse import "C" blocks, many features of Cgo are still unsupported.

    kafka-go

    kafka-go

    Kafka library in Go

...It also passes all values as pointers which causes large numbers of dynamic memory allocations, more frequent garbage collections, and higher memory usage. confluent-kafka-go is a cgo based wrapper around librdkafka, which means it introduces a dependency to a C library on all Go code that uses the package. It has much better documentation than sarama but still lacks support for Go contexts. goka is a more recent Kafka client for Go which focuses on a specific usage pattern. It provides abstractions for using Kafka as a message passing bus between services rather than an ordered log of events.

    GopherJS

    GopherJS

Compiler from Go to JavaScript for running Go code in a browser

...Its main purpose is to give you the opportunity to write front-end code in Go which will still run in all browsers. Nearly everything is supported, including Goroutines (compatibility documentation). Performance is quite good in most cases, see HTML5 game engine benchmark. Cgo is not supported. GopherJS requires Go 1.16 or newer. If you need an older Go version, you can use an older Gopher release. GopherJS uses your platform's default GOOS value when generating code. Supported GOOS values are: linux, darwin. If you're on a different platform (e.g., Windows or FreeBSD), you'll need to set the GOOS environment variable to a supported value. gopherjs serve is a useful command you can use during development. ...

    Wasmer Go

    Wasmer Go

    WebAssembly runtime for Go

...Wasmer Go supports loading, compiling, and running WebAssembly modules, as well as interacting with them through imports, exports, and memory management. It relies on precompiled shared libraries and CGO to bridge between Go and the underlying Wasmer runtime, ensuring compatibility across multiple operating systems.

    Lorca

    Lorca

Build cross-platform modern desktop apps in Go + HTML5

...Communication works asynchronously through promises and goroutines, allowing long-running backend tasks without blocking the UI. Applications can load content from a local server or a data URL and may open multiple windows. Lorca is written in pure Go without cgo and typically produces small application packages. It also supports headless testing, cross-platform packaging, custom branding, and native integrations through external libraries.

    ui

    ui

    Platform-native GUI library for Go

...It exposes Go-friendly abstractions for windows, buttons, boxes, tables, menus, drawing areas, text fields, and other controls. Applications use native Windows controls, macOS interfaces, or GTK widgets depending on the operating system. The package relies on cgo and supports Windows, macOS, and Unix-like systems with GTK 3. Example programs demonstrate the available controls and application structure. A Windows manifest helper simplifies enabling modern Common Controls support in compiled binaries. Like libui itself, the project is mid-alpha and should be treated as experimental rather than a fully mature GUI toolkit.

    go-gtk

    go-gtk

    Go binding for GTK

...The README notes that GTK development packages must be installed (e.g., libgtk2.0-dev) to build the examples. Go-GTK has over 1,100 commits and shows a serious commitment to bridging Go with desktop GUI frameworks. Because it ties into GTK's C libraries via cgo, it enables event-driven UI programming in Go rather than being purely browser/web based. This makes it interesting for developers who want to build cross-platform desktop applications in Go with the look and feel of GTK. License is BSD-3-Clause, which is permissive.
