Note this project is in alpha, it works but is not pretty. This project offers a way to debug libraries loaded by third party programs. It is also great to use if trying to find a problem that occurs very infrequently or during automated testing.

The Packet Design Embedded Library (PDEL) is a C library containing an assorted collection of code useful for developing embedded applications. Also included is lws ('lil Web Server'), a lightweight, scriptable embedded web server using libpdel. 2025-07-06 - Note that hosting of this project has been moved to Github at https://github.com/markfrommn/libpdel. It has been inactive a long time but I hope to update to be able to build against current Linux and MacOS at least. TBD on Win32 and at this point I won't be adding WinCE support (of course...).

...It has binary data handling, read/write capability, basic math and date conversions. It is intended to aid in bash programming, but can be used from any command line tool or application. NOTE: This was accidentally uploaded as a beta, instead of alpha, but its status IS ALPHA. The next upload will standardize the language to the point where any scripts that work in it will work in all future versions -- however, scripts written for this version may not work in subsequent ones, the (mostly output) commands have changed: , ; . =* etc. ... -

Note that as of release 0.4.0 just the base programming language is provided: no support for programming with the application frameworks such as Series 60/80/UIQ is provided, and neither are phone APIs (IR/BT/SMS/...) supported. Volunteers welcome.

Installer Options is a small utility used to create option dialogs for use by NullSoft's NSIS installer application. NSIS is a very powerful install program, but lacks the ability to create dialog boxes to prompt the user for additional information. Please Note: This is an old project that was eventually integrated into NSIS distribution directly. The plug-in mechanism eventually changed, so this version of the code no longer works properly with NSIS. I have left the project online for archival purposes, but please use the bundled version instead.
