Generic binary protocol library that prevents injection attacks
...Guaranteeing equivalence in data interpretation, known as operational congruity, is achieved by separating fields of data on the basis of their length. When the length of the data is known, there is no risk of misinterpreting it on the basis of spaces or text delimiters. The Distinguished Encoding Rules, or DER, of the ASN.1 standard follows this approach but includes numerous constraints and, more importantly, demands that data fields to be described using binary metadata rather than text. The Secure Protocol Format, or SPF, was created as a simplified version of DER. In addition to delimiting data by length, it also affords programmers the ability to use text for describing data, just like tags are used in HTML and XML. ... -

A free, fast and accurate routine to compute the position of the Sun
...The code can be used to track the Sun on low-specs machine, such as a PLC or a microcontroller, and can be used for e.g. (highly) concentrated (photovoltaic) solar power. SolTrack has been developed by Marc van der Sluys, Paul van Kan and Jurgen Reintjes, of the Lectorate of Sustainable Energy at the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem, The Netherlands. The code is based on the astronomical Fortran library libTheSky and can be used, modified and distributed under the conditions of version 3 of the GNU Public Licence. -

Implementations for the Revised Report language
This project offers open source implementations for UNESCO/IFIP's Algol 68 (the Revised Report language). The project offers two implementations: Implementation 1 is Algol68G: a recent checkout hybrid compiler/interpreter by Marcel van der Veer, supporting arbitrary arithmetic, partial parametrisation, complex numbers, POSIX threads, GNU plotutils, GNU scientific library, curses, sound, TCP sockets, RegEx and PostgreSQL. Inplementation 2 is algol68toc, a port by Sian Mountbatten of the vintage Algol68RS (UK Defense Research Agency) compiler. The implementation emits C code. -
