    gVirtualXRay

    gVirtualXRay

Virtual X-Ray Imaging Library on GPU

...It is based on the Beer-Lambert law to compute the absorption of light (i.e. photons) by 3D objects (here polygon meshes). It is implemented on the graphics processing unit (GPU) using the OpenGL Shading Language (GLSL). SimpleGVXR is a smaller library build on the top of gVirtualXRay. It provides wrappers to Python, R, Ruby, Tcl, C#, Java, and GNU Octave.

    syfluid

    syfluid

Fancy interactive fluid simulation for gfx fans, VJs and demo coders

...SPACE to pause. "s" to save a png or jpg. syfluid is written in C++ using OpenGL. Even though it is heavily performance optimized and using OpenGL Shading Language (GLSL), it is a performance hog. Use "f" to show the FPS. If they are lower than 30, then reduce the quality parameter that you find in the menu from 200 to e.g. 100. For very fast graphic cards, try 400 and above. This fluid simulation is based on on Jos Stam's paper: http://www.dgp.toronto.edu/people/stam/reality/Research/pdf/GDC03.pdf

    EtiC Galaxy simulation

    EtiC Galaxy simulation

    Galaxy extraterrestrial life simulation

EtiC is a galaxy simulation software that generates and renders a mock galaxy for rational estimation of the number of extraterrestrial civilizations. Stars and planets are simulated with plausible physical characteristics, based on user-adjustable parameters. An EtiC simulation run consists to generate a galaxy disk physical stars, associate planets to the stars, and for habitable planets, simulate the life stages evolution until extinction. A visual animation of the galaxy and user...
