    Python/FEniCS Examples

    Python/FEniCS Examples

phase-field simulation and other examples with Python/FEniCS

The main goal of this project was developing phase-field simulations of lithium dendrite growth with FEniCS programmed in Python. The problem was based in the grand potential-based model of Zijian Hong and Venkatasubramanian Viswanathan (https://doi.org/10.1021/acsenergylett.8b01009) . Some simpler examples were developed before for a first approach with FEniCS: heat equation and combustion model.

    RTC-simulator

Simulation and Control of Processing Plants

...This is a simple interactive simulator including 20 different applications for such aspects as PID and DMC controller tuning, advanced level control, Smith prediction, Kalman filtering, and control strategies for a furnace, a boiler, and a hybrid system. A tutorial gives brief background to the theory and programming of each application, plus a stepwise set of objectives to illustrate the main features. The simulations include a number of the techniques described in Applied Process Control – Essential Methods, and that book’s accompanying volume, Applied Process Control – Efficient Problem Solving. Actually, RTC is not merely a suite of simulations: Each application can be switched from “MODEL” to “PLANT” mode for real-time control of equipment through a somewhat basic interfacing arrangement. ...

    Virtual Laboratory Environment

    Virtual Laboratory Environment

A multi-modeling and simulation environment to study complex systems

...VLE is based on the discrete event specification DEVS. and it implements the DSDE formalism (A merge of Dynamic Structure DEVS, DSDEVS, with Parallel DEVS, PDEVS). VLE provides a complete set of C++ libraries, called VFL (VLE Foundation Libraries), to develop DEVS models, to gets results of simulations, to launch simulation on cluster. The models can be developed with the DEVS formalism or with the classical mathematical formalism: Ordinary Differential Equation with Euler, Range-Kutta or QSS integrator, Finite state automaton (FDDEVS, UML State chart, Hybrid Petri net). The VLE environment provides an IDE to develop C++ models, DEVS coupled models. ...

    Simultra

    Simultra

Multiagent simulator of road traffic in Qt/C++ and OpenStreetMap.

Simultra is an open-source, hybrid road traffic simulator designed to handle large roadmaps in real-time. It combines microscopic and mesoscopic simulations into one multiagent hybrid simulator. The large-scale maps are modelled mesoscopically in real-time, and the complex traffic interactions benefit from detailed agent-based microscopic simulations. To resolve the concurrency issues within the maps representation and the meso-micro transitions, Simultra combines an event-based mesoscopic model of the maps with a more detailed physical engine.

    MED-FOES

An Agent-Based Simulation of Invasive Pest Insects

...Thus the objective of this software is to estimate the time to local extirpation based on known ranges of developmental, survivorship and reproductive parameters, as well as assumed ranges of an eradication pressure parameter. For a complete analysis and estimate of time to extirpation one would execute a large number of individual simulations evenly distributed over parameter space to estimate the time at which an arbitrary percentage of the simulations show extirpation.

    SAJaS

    Simple API for JADE-based Simulations

The Simple API for JADE-based Simulations (SAJaS) is a proposal to bridge the gap between MAS simulation and development. SAJaS enhances MABS frameworks with JADE-based features. While empowering MABS modellers with modelling concepts offered by JADE, SAJaS also promotes a quicker development of simulation models for JADE programmers. In fact, the same implementation can, with minor changes, be used as a large scale simulation or as a distributed JADE system.

    TraceMetrics

TraceMetrics is a trace file analyzer for Network Simulator 3 (ns-3).

TraceMetrics is a trace file analyzer for Network Simulator 3 (ns-3). The main goal is to perform a quick analyzis of the trace file produced by ns-3's simulations and calculate useful metrics for research and performance measurement. Such tool is needed because a research simulation may generate a trace file with thousands of lines, becoming dificult to analyze manually. Due to this, this tool can be handy in case someone needs a metric that the tool already support. TraceMetrics is an opensource tool, developed in Java and the code can be found here. ...
