The openFuelCell project is a forum to develop open source computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to model fuel cells. Computational fluid dynamics tools are used to size and rate fuel cell systems. AcMus is a project on musical acoustics devoted to the development of models and computer tools for the study of room acoustics and focus on helping the investigation of issues related to the design, control and acoustic treatment of environments. At the moment NeSSi² is not actively maintained anymore since we are planning a successor project. NeSSi² is a network simulation tool suite addressing in particular network security aspects. Sample capabilities are profile-based attack generation, traffic analysis and support for attack/malware detection algorithm plugins.

Curve Captor is a free (distributed under GPL) vacuum tube modeling software that brings the advantages of modern computer simulation tools to design of vacuum tube electronics.

The Gecko Hamaker open-source software project is a full implementation of the fully retarded Lifshitz formulations for isotropic and anisotropic plane-plane and cylinder-cylinder interactions with intervening interlayer materials, planar systems of up to 99 layers, and graded interfaces for the modeling of grain boundaries or other continuously changing systems, accompanied by a database of material optical properties spectra. The machine-readable optical property database is available for download and as a web service and makes available the full spectral optical properties of over 150 materials from both ab initio calculations and experimental measurements.

TraceMetrics is a trace file analyzer for Network Simulator 3 (ns-3). The main goal is to perform a quick analyzis of the trace file produced by ns-3's simulations and calculate useful metrics for research and performance measurement. Such tool is needed because a research simulation may generate a trace file with thousands of lines, becoming dificult to analyze manually. Due to this, this tool can be handy in case someone needs a metric that the tool already support. TraceMetrics is an opensource tool, developed in Java and the code can be found here.
