Eat the whistle GPL is a football simulation game written in C that works on many platforms (win32/linux/macosx/amigaos/morphos), it uses the SDL framework. It has a multiplayer internet playing option in alpha stage.

xcruiser aims to provide 3D VR-like interface to UN*X filesystem. It displays directories as galaxies, files as planets (of various properties depending on its attributes) and symlinks as wormholes. You can fly through cyberspace created from these.

PEDSIM is a microscopic pedestrian crowd simulation system. The PEDSIM library allows you to use pedestrian dynamics in your own software. Based on pure C++ without additional packages, it runs virtually on every operating system. The PEDSIM Demo Application gives you a quick overview of the capabilities, and is a starting point for your own experiments. PEDSIM is suitable for use in crowd simulations (e.g. indoor evacuation simulation, large scale outdoor simulations), where one is interested in output like pedestrian density or evacuation time. Also, the quality of the individual agent's trajectory is high enough for creating massive pedestrian crowds in movies. Since libpedsim is easy to use and extend, it is a good starting point for science projects.

GLUI is a GLUT-based C++ user interface library which provides controls such as buttons, checkboxes, radio buttons, and spinners to OpenGL applications. It is window-system independent, using GLUT or FreeGLUT.

logisim is a fully modularized logic circuit simulator for unix-compatible systems. It supports a lot of different graphic outputs and can simulate a lot of different gate types. Additionally it can be extended easily by simply adding new gate modules.

A complete open source implementation of DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation) in C++. 1278.1 and 1278.1a are fully implemented including enumerations. Includes several utility classes to help with developing your DIS app. DIS 7 work is ongoing.

The very basic of a java 3D car driving game, freely expandable including a built-in basic 3D object editor and a more complex road+objects editor. Source code available, no OpenGL.

XHSI (eXternal High-resolution Simulator Instruments) is an add-on for the X-Plane flight simulator. It displays the PFD, ND, EICAS, Flaps and Gear indicator, Clock/Chronometer, etc... in separate windows. In general, the instruments can be displayed in B737-NG or A320 style.

XPilot is a multi-player 2D space game for both local and Internet gaming. Some features are borrowed from classics like the Atari coin-ups Asteroids and Gravitar, and the home-computer games Thrust and Gravity Force, but XPilot has many new aspects too.

JAS is a java library for creating agent based simulations. It features a discrete-event time engine, APIs for network simulation design, powerful yet easy-to-use implementations of Genetic Algorithms and Neural Networks.

Lashkar is a 3rd person action/simulation game. Allowing players to choose between different combat vehicles, like (tanks, mechs, choppers, air planes etc). Not true simulation but a blend of fun with simulation.

This is the Textron Bell412 helicopter for the Flightgear flight simulator. OpenUniverse is a fun, fast and free space simulator. It currently focusses on the Solar System and lets you visit all of its planets, major moons and a vast collection of smaller bodies in realtime 3D (using OpenGL).

A strategic, network based, multiplayer space shoot 'em up in 3d, inspired by BzFlag. Bold starship pilots fight for glory in a distant future galaxy. The Ruling Coalition that held together the galaxy has been shattered by internal strife, and in the outskirts of the galaxy chaos reigns. It is now up to the different factions to battle each other to gain the power to rule the galaxy. The battles take place inside large cages, where pilots fight until death among the old city ruins. It utilizes the Irrlicht Engine for graphics, together with SDL for sound and network.
