Vegastrike evolved

Vegastrike is an old open source game , cool but unfinished . And while there is still a community , the project is in orbit in a kinda space cimetery . The game can run under Windows,Linux ,Mac . BUT : It is complicated to work with the original SVN repositery , while the admins aren't reactive . So i decided to create that hub , with a trunk based upon the 0.5.1rc1 of Vegastrike . GalGen Trader
A 2D Elite-style game written in Python 3.2.
...One of its most important features is the ability for extension modules to be added that can change just about any feature of the program; from new weapons and devices, to adventure modules that add new 'mini-plots' (similar to the Galactic Adventures DLC for Spore), to modules that replace parts of the core game. This functionality is supported by the game being written in Python 3, with its powerful support for including external code at run-time. The graphics will be a simple mixture of 2D raster and vector imagery with text-based menus, and the music will be highly reminiscent of the 80's 'chiptunes' that made up the soundtracks for games on the Amiga and Commodore 64. -

Space simulation written in Python. The project aims to someday be like Elite with aspects of Trade Wars. Currently it is an interesting experiment in vector mathematics which demonstrates a minimalistic rendering engine for 3D space graphics.
