AdaGate is a 3D OpenGL strategy game with escape rooms in a Stargate fantasy setting. It is an elaborate example of modern OpenGL programming using the Ada language; and a tribute to Narbacular Drop, and Amelia Earhart. Each room has a barrier that must be circumvented using portals. The barriers include water with piranha, molten magma, and walls. Runs on Windows, OSX, and GNU/Linux. The linux binary now runs on many linux distros! ...I'm looking for people who would like to help with this project. I have started coding some of this already and is about 3% - 5% complete. You can download the source code I uploaded it all as a zip file in the download section. It has the game files needed to run the game. The Iron Way, aka Simutrans Iron Bite, is a free, open source transport simulation game. It is a fork of the Simutrans project featuring a better UI for the game, both with visual and usability enhancements. It can run most of the known Simutrans graphics sets, but comes with three sets included, so that you can start playing right away without need to download and install further components. A secondary goal is to translate the remaing German in the source code to English.

...One of its most important features is the ability for extension modules to be added that can change just about any feature of the program; from new weapons and devices, to adventure modules that add new 'mini-plots' (similar to the Galactic Adventures DLC for Spore), to modules that replace parts of the core game. This functionality is supported by the game being written in Python 3, with its powerful support for including external code at run-time. The graphics will be a simple mixture of 2D raster and vector imagery with text-based menus, and the music will be highly reminiscent of the 80's 'chiptunes' that made up the soundtracks for games on the Amiga and Commodore 64. -
