Original Super Mario Bros python rewrite : I actually only bothered recreating the first level as then the game forks off : it starts off as regular Mario and then takes an unexpected turn. We created that game for our video-game programmer of a brother (aka Coco) wedding as a best man speech. So geeky. The so-called Coco finished the game in one go without losing a single life in front of a crowd of 200 at his own wedding and after quite a few drinks.

This project has been discontinued for a while now. Recently I decided to come back and work a little bit more on it. I added some new stuff and here is the new result. This will be the final version of the game, I do not intend to release any new stuff in the nearby future. The game isn't perfect and I believe it has some broken code. Anyway, it should be playable. ...Winter Warland features four different game modes, including the classic Deathmatch (standard snowball fight), Elimination, and Capture the Flag modes as well as a unique mode called Snowman Conqueror. Worlds are randomly generated, but are customizable. Multiplayer was intended, but due to severe delays and recent schedule changes, I probably won’t add it for a while.

This is my first attempt at a graphical game. In the past, I have attempted console games (but lacked the follow-through). This time, however, I will be working together with my artistic and amazing girlfriend to push me forward towards completion.

This is my Pyweek #5 entry. It’s got everything but sound at this point. I didn’t feel like I had as much time to finish as I would have liked, but I think the results are quite good. Perhaps it will get the full polishing it deserves.
