The sandbox libraries (libsandbox & pysandbox) are an open-source suite of software components for C/C++ and Python developers to create automated profiling tools and watchdog programs. The API's are designed for executing and instrumenting simple (single process) tasks, featuring policy-based behavioral auditing, resource quota, and statistics collecting. The sandbox libraries were originally designed and utilized as the core security module of a full-fledged online judge system for ACM/ICPC training. They have since then evolved into a general-purpose tool for binary program testing, profiling, and security restriction. The sandbox libraries are currently maintained by the OpenJudge Alliance (http://openjudge.net/) as a standalone, open-source project to facilitate various assignment grading solutions for IT/CS education. Titan
Low Overhead and Multi-faceted Network Fingerprinting of a Bot
Botnets are an evolutionary form of malware, unique in requiring network connectivity for herding by a botmaster that allows coordinated attacks as well as dynamic evasion from detection. Thus, the most interesting features of a bot relate to its rapidly evolving network behavior. The few academic and commercial malware observation systems that exist, however, are either proprietary or have large cost and management overhead. Moreover, the network behavior of bots changes considerably under different operational contexts. We present Titan: a system that generates faithful network fingerprints by recreating all these contexts and stressing the bot with different network settings and host interactions. This effort includes a semi-automated and tunable containment policy to prevent bot proliferation. The main task of this tool is to search and list all the links (pages and files) in a web site. The crawler has been completely rewritten in v1.0 bringing a lot of improvements: improved the data visualization, interactive option to download files, increased speed in crawling, exports list of found files into a separated file (useful to crawl a site once, then download files and analyse them with FOCA), generate an output log in Common Log Format (CLF), manage basic authentication and more! Many of the old features has been reimplemented and the most interesting one is the capability of the crawler to search for directory indexing. -

This template is a result of implementing our processes, it should not be considered as an independent part. When developing this template we had several goals in mind. Development environment should be bootstrapped easily, so we use docker-compose for that. Development should be consistent, so we use strict quality and style checks. Development, testing, and production should have the same environment, so again we develop, test, and run our apps in docker containers. Documentation and codebase are the only sources of truth. This template is oriented on big projects, when there are multiple people working on it for a long period of time.
