... with a rank lower than 1 are forgotten. Frecency is a portmanteau of 'recent' and 'frequency'. It is a weighted rank that depends on how often and how recently something occurred. As far as I know, Mozilla came up with the term. To z, a directory that has low ranking but has been accessed recently will quickly have higher rank than a directory accessed frequently a long time ago. -

Dupless - a duplicate file solution
extract unique file sets from sets with duplicates
Do you have lots of files? I do, particularly image files. There are lots of duplicates and I want to extract a unique set from the larger set. That is what dupless does. Written in Java, using sqlite, it is some simple code that solves the duplicate file problem. All of the code is contained in the .jar file, both source and binary. Currently it writes scripts for use on Linux or Windows. See the Wiki or the README.txt in the .jar file for more information. -

Win32 Locate and Updatedb Scripts
Easy way to search files and folders
Like the Linux "locate" and "updatedb", "winlocate" is a very simple solution for finding files and folders in a windows environment system. All is done by using 2 scripts (.BAT), some GNU tools and Sqlite3. I hope you will enjoy this release. -

This small C# (mono or MS.NET 3.5 required) console program generates text or html output which lists directories and files. Copies of directory or file names will be marked in HTML output. I use it to find files in a messy company network.

I AM File Indexing can index files in given folders and make the content search able. Written in pure java it is meant for people who need very basic web-site search or multiple files search capability for their java applications.
