    BigDecimal

Arithmetic and calculus with decimal numbers of arbitrary precision.

...In BigDecimal all the arithmetic operations are implemented, including, logarithms, systems resolution of linear equations, trigonometric functions, polynomial regression, hyperbolic functions, the notorious gamma function (factorial for non-integer real numbers) and more that will be implemented still. My intention is, at a minimum, to implement all the mathematical functions of the Windows calculator, and at most, if any, all the mathematical functions of Office Excel.

    DetectorCalibration

    DetectorCalibration

Peak and global efficiency of radiation source-detector equipment

This software uses Geant4 simulation toolkit for computing detector efficiency in terms of peak efficiency and gross efficiency. It is designed mainly for gamma detectors (NaI or HpGe) but can be extended for beta or any other radiation type. Radiation source can be frontal beam, point source, Sarpagan baker (cylinder) and Marinelli baker. Due to the nature of Monte Carlo simulation technique, all geometries involved must be well known for accurate results! Can be used along with RadiationHelper (Beta_Gamma_MC module with Geant4 checkbox selected) but make sure that inside RadiationHelper folder there is MonteCarloPath.txt file having the first line pointing to the path of detector.exe folder (e.g. ...

    stellarics

Inverse Compton emission from heliospheres of sun and stars

Cosmic ray electrons scatter on the photon fields around stars, including the sun, to create gamma rays by the inverse Compton effect. This program computes the spectrum and angular distribution of this emission. The software also includes general-purpose routines for inverse Compton scattering on a given electron spectrum, for example for interstellar or astrophysical source modelling. Activity Prediction Software

To envision the radiation exposure in Neutron Activation Experiments

A software called Activity Predictor is developed using Java TM programming language. The Activity Predictor calculates activities, exposure rates and gamma spectra of activated samples for NAA experiments. The calculation procedure for predictions involve both analytical and Monte Carlo methods. The Activity Predictor software is validated by a series of activation experiments. It has been found that this software calculates the activities and exposure rates precisely. The software also predicts gamma spectrum for each measurement. ...

    hadronic gamma rays

gamma rays from hadronic processes in astrophysics

Cosmic-ray hadronic interaction matrices for gamma-ray and other secondaries for an interstellar medium target are available as described in Huang et al. Astroparticle Physics, 27, 429 (2007). These require significant effort in practice to compute emissivities for given input spectra. To supplement these matrices I provide here a C++ class which reads the matrices, interpolates on user-defined particle and gamma-ray energy grids, and computes the gamma-ray emissivity either differential or in user-defined bands. ...
