Éstas deben ser comparadas con las obtenidas con dicho receptor. El problema reside en las posibles dificultades para determinar si las bases previas o las tomadas con el receptor puedan no ser correctas y por ello, con el software, se pretende paliar este interrogante. Con todo esto, se intenta facilitar la selección de las bases que servirán para el posterior cálculo de los parámetros de transformación.
