    Orca Core

    Orca Core

Core Python Controller of the ORCA Hand

Orca Core is the central Python control framework for the ORCA Hand, an open-source dexterous robotic hand designed to replicate human-like manipulation capabilities. It provides a high-level abstraction layer over the underlying hardware, allowing developers to interact with the robotic system through simplified joint-space commands rather than low-level motor instructions. The software includes a suite of scripts for calibration, tensioning, and positioning, ensuring that the physical hand operates accurately and consistently across different configurations. ...

    PyRobot

    PyRobot

An Open Source Robotics Research Platform

PyRobot is a high-level robotics API that simplifies controlling real and simulated robots through a consistent Python interface. Instead of fighting ROS internals, you call clear methods for things like base navigation, arm manipulation, and camera capture, and PyRobot handles the plumbing. It was built to make research repeatable on accessible platforms—most notably low-cost mobile manipulators—while still scaling to richer hardware.

    ProtPOS

    ProtPOS

Prediction of PROTtein Preferred Orientation on a Surface

ProtPOS is a self-contained, lightweight, and easy-to-use software package for predicting the preferred orientation of protein on a given surface upon initial adsorption. It searches quickly for the low energy protein poses in all translational and rotational degrees of freedom of the protein with respect to the surface using particle swarm optimization. Each successful run returns the lowest energy orientation of the protein on the surface in PDB format, which is readily used for MD simulations. ProtPOS is implemented in Python, making use of the PyMOL library for generating protein conformations and calling GROMACS externally to calculate protein-surface interaction energies. ...

    GASiC

    Genome Abundance Similarity Correction

One goal of sequencing based metagenomic analysis is the quantitative taxonomic assessment of microbial community compositions. However, the majority of approaches either quantify at low resolution (e.g. at phylum level) or have severe problems discerning highly similar species. Yet, accurate quantification on species level is desirable in applications such as metagenomic diagnostics or community comparison. GASiC is a method to correct read alignment results for the ambiguities imposed by similarities of genomes. ...

    ViAmI-Server

    Pattern recognition for ADL events

...We propose an approach which treats the detection of changes in behavior detected with a sensor/video fusion, which occur at radically different time-scales, through a CBR in two levels: low and high level. The system is always updating the database with the daily data.
