    QWait (theme park visitor simulator)

    Simple theme park visitor simulator

Inspired by a youtube video, I thought I'd have a go at building a theme park visitor simulator. A command-line driven tool that can output a range of CSV data. A couple of Excel templates are included so you can quickly see some graphs. I've included data for four famous theme parks, and one generic test park. I'll add more as I get access to real-world data. What's included: Visitor will travel from ride to ride at a reasonably realistic speed. ...

    BEAST

    BEAST

BEAST is a tool dedicated to assess political goals of woody bioenergy

The BioEnergy Allocation and Simulation Tool (BEAST) is a tool dedicated to assess political goals of woody bioenergy production in the context of available biomass potentials and corresponding economic and ecological criteria on a regional level. It is a useful tool in participative decision making processes by iterative simulation and visualization of complex issues. BEAST is a data- and model-driven Decision Support System (DSS) evaluating woody biomass potentials from forests, hedges and trees outside forests as well as short rotation coppice (SRC). The latter one is modelled spatially explicit. This opens the possibility to identify prefered areas for SRC production under different restrictions and goals. ...

    Coastline Evolution Model

Modified version of the Coastline Evolution Model (CEM)

The Coastline Evolution Model (CEM), originally developed by Ashton et al. (2001), Ashton and Murray (2006) and Valvo et al. (2006), is a reduced complexity, one-line sediment transport model that simulates the evolution of coastlines via wave-driven alongshore sediment transport. The original CEM has no Graphical User Interface (GUI) and does not provide graphical visualisations during model runs. The modified version given here includes these features. This project forms part of a...

    Witchcraft

    Witchcraft

Monads and other dark magic for Elixir

Witchcraft brings algebraic and category-theoretic abstractions—like semigroups, monoids, functors, applicatives, and monads—to Elixir in a pragmatic, protocol-driven way. It introduces a set of typeclass-style protocols and laws so data types can declare the operations they support and have those behaviors verified. The library encourages composability and pure transformations, letting you build pipelines where effects are modeled explicitly rather than hidden in ad-hoc helpers. Because the implementation leans on Elixir protocols, you can extend Witchcraft’s abstractions to your own structs without invasive inheritance hierarchies. ...

    as3delaunay

    as3delaunay

Delaunay triangulation and Voronoi diagram for Flash Builder 4 project

...The library enables users to generate Voronoi diagrams from a set of input points, allowing applications such as procedural map generation, image segmentation, and spatial partitioning. By handling complex geometric relationships automatically, it simplifies the process of building interactive or data-driven visualizations. The project emphasizes performance and mathematical accuracy while maintaining readability for developers working in ActionScript. Its codebase serves as a reliable foundation for anyone implementing geometry-based algorithms or graphical systems within AS3 projects.

    ARDEN

Specificity Control for Read Alignments Using an Artificial Reference

We introduce ARDEN (Artificial Reference Driven Estimation of false positives in NGS data), a novel benchmark that estimates error rates based on real experimental reads and an additionally generated artificial reference genome. It allows the computation of error rates specifically for a dataset and the construction of a ROC-curve. Thereby, it can be used to optimize parameters for read mappers, to select read mappers for a specific problem or also to filter alignments based on quality estimation.
