p3d is a general data-reduction tool for use with fiber-fed integral-field spectrographs (IFSs); although, the spectrumviewer works with spectrum data cubes of any origin. The tool is built about the proprietary software IDL (Harris/EXELIS; see http://www.harrisgeospatial.com), but can be used without any license. Most slowly running loops are implemented in parallelized C (OpenMP).
bruread is a program to read and display NMR data in the Bruker XWIN-NMR format. The program has a command-line interface and a graphic display based on gnuplot. - Note that this is only an NMR spectrum *viewer*, not a full-fledged data evaluation suite
