    xfemm

Cross platform electromagnetics finite element analyisis based on FEMM

...Development of xfemm now takes place on Github here: https://github.com/REOptimize-Systems/xfemm xfemm is a refactoring of the core algorithms of the popular Windows-only FEMM (Finite Element Method Magnetics, www.femm.info) to use only the standard template library and therefore be cross-platform. The codes can be used as a library, standalone executables, or through the advanced Matlab/Octave interface, which uses direct data exchange at the memory level rather than the original FEMM ActiveX or file-based interface, for much improved communication speed. If you use xfemm, particularly for industrial work, but also academic, it will be greatly appreciated if you could write an email stating this and how it has supported your work. This is a low-cost way to ensure further development and maintenance will continue!

    Mesh2HRTF
Mesh2HRTF is an open-source project aiming at providing an easy-to-use software package for the numerical calculation of HRTFs. It targets researchers in the field of binaural audio. In a nutshell, Mesh2HRTF simply reads geometrical data, calculates the corresponding sound field and outputs HRTFs. To support multiple computer platforms, the concept of Mesh2HRTF is to focus on a command-line tool, which forms the numerical core, i.e., an implementation of the 3-dimensional Burton-Miller collocation BEM coupled with the multi-level fast multipole method (ML-FMM), and to provide add-ons for existing cross-platform applications for the preprocessing of geometrical data and for the visualization of results.

    Pascalloid Calc

    Pascalloid Calc

Hui or Pascal's Triangle into shaped Geometry, 3D

...The Five Platonic Solids are included in this software, along with various geometric algorithms to create a generative geometry system. Equations in combinatoric and algebraic forms are given. Tools to play with the data are given. There is now a way to create user-defined algorithms. Dodecahedral and Icosahedral Pascalloids are now geometrically perfect and include no 'folding errors'. A 'data only' data output mode allows users to copy and paste the geometry data into any spreadsheet. Polarized (+/-) geometries for all shapes are included as an option, including special tools to work with both negative and positive numbers that appear in the revolving geometry display. ...

    Coastline Evolution Model

Modified version of the Coastline Evolution Model (CEM)

The Coastline Evolution Model (CEM), originally developed by Ashton et al. (2001), Ashton and Murray (2006) and Valvo et al. (2006), is a reduced complexity, one-line sediment transport model that simulates the evolution of coastlines via wave-driven alongshore sediment transport. The original CEM has no Graphical User Interface (GUI) and does not provide graphical visualisations during model runs. The modified version given here includes these features. This project forms part of a...

    fluids-sh

acquire fluid properties from the NIST Chemistry WebBook

fluid.sh is a shell script which utilized wget to acquire fluid properties from the NIST Chemistry WebBook in a format suitable for further processing with shell scripts or e.g. xmgrace. It supports the full functionality provided by the website! The script takes the same input as command line arguments you need to enter on the web forms. It produces a ASCII text file containing the respective data points in columns headed by a well readable description. The advantage is that you do not need to "click" through three web pages and export the result - you can do it with one command in the shell! This makes it possible to introduce it in shell scripts to automatize the analysis of other data, to compare or just to save time.
