Dane mogą zostać zaimportowane na trzy sposoby (z mapy, współrzędnych i pliku). W zakładce "Mapa" należy kliknąć na interesujące nas miejsce na mapie aby zaimportować dane, dotyczące linii, znajdujących się w obszarze kliknięcia. Można także wprowadzić współrzędne punktu określającego środek wyznaczanego obszaru w układzie WGS84 (latitude i longitude) po kliknięciu na menu "Narzędzia" > Importuj dane. Zaimportowane dane pojawiają się w tabeli w zakładce "Dane". Każdorazowy import dodaje nowe dane na końcu obecnej tabeli. Zawartość pliku XML zwracanego przez serwer zostaje wyświetlona w zakładce "Edytor". W edytorze wyświetla się tylko ostatnie zapytanie, więc zapis pliku spowoduje zachowanie tylko ostatniego zapytania a nie całej tabeli z zakładki "Dane". Funkcje menu "Edycja" pozwalają zrobić listę adresów URL do łączenia z API.

Raman Data Search and Storage (RDSS) software was developed as an analytical tool for a fast and accurate identification of unknown minerals by comparison of their spectra with the indexed library of data. A search function was implemented to enable users to find a specific peak value. Using the asterisk character (*) as a placeholder for one or more unknown peak value(s), the software will return the best match(es). Besides the search utility by the Raman band positions, which was proven to be priceless in the interpretation of Raman spectra, the RDSS software gives the user the ability to display and inspect the Raman spectra quickly and very efficiently. Users can zoom into the Raman spectrum, shift in any direction the wavenumber and the intensity axes, and if any part of the spectral display is clicked, that region will be highlighted and the specific wavenumber returned. A photo for every sample entry stored in the database is also available.

The new innovative method I have created makes possible that any end user regardless of their native language can retrieve all relevant data no matter the language, be Chinese, English, Hindu, Italian, Russian, Hawaiian, even Klingon if wanted, etcetera. This means, the creator saves their data (in English as an example), but a Japanese "end user" can retrieve the SAME data without needing to know English at all. Of course, this process isn't meant to convert the English into the Japanese language. This method is meant only to insure anyone using any language known, can recover the SAME data without ever needing to know the original creator.
