In honor of Earth Day, HPCC Systems is committed to planting 10,000 new trees across our national forests.

HPCC Systems is dedicated to the environment and is giving you the opportunity to take action and be a small part of a big impact. In partnership with the National Forest Foundation, HPCC Systems is growing and promoting awareness of environmental sustainability with their 10K Trees Challenge. The best time to plan a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now! Take our survey and take part in helping the environment.
  • itom Icon

    itom

itom - an Open Source Measurement, Automation and Evaluation Software

itom is an open source software suite for operating measurement systems, laboratory automation and data evaluation. One main application of itom is the development and operation of sensor and measurement system for instance in a laboratory environment. Therefore, the software has to be able to communicate with a wide range of different hardware systems, such as cameras or actuators and should provide a diversified and as complete as possible set of evaluation and data processing methods. Additionally, the rapid prototyping of modern measurement and inspection setups requires a system, where parameters or components can easily be changed at runtime, necessitating the availability of an embedded scripting language. Finally, when operating a measurement system, it is also desirable to extend the graphical user interface by system adapted dialogs and windows. https://itom.bitbucket.io/

    Java Disk Benchmark Utility

Simple Java utility to help bench mark disk IO. Benchmark is done by creating and reading data files to a user directory that can be configured. Suggestions would be very appreciated. https://gitlab.com/jamesmarkchan/jDiskMark/ Note: When doing a combined read and write operation the disk cache is not cleared automatically so the app must be restarted to avoid the cache from affecting read IO performance.

    experix laboratory control system

instrument control, data acquisition display and analysis

Experix is a command-line driven environment for laboratory data acquisition and device control and graphical presentation and analysis of data. Written in C for GNU-Linux . Tested on PC and Raspberry Pi. The core is written very generally in order to support applications by means of script files. Device interfaces: PCMCIA daq (2 devices tested) via kernel module with interrupt handler and memory-mapped data; USB daq (1 device tested) using libusbx; running an equipment servicing program via pipes. Interfaces accessible via commands and scripts: file i/o modelled on stdio and stdlib; usb control and bulk transfers; socket operations; webcam; graphics via framebuffer. Applications (not all available yet for download) include: cell poker (like an atomic force microscope); tissue mechanical tester; fluorescence photobleaching; alternating laser excitation fluorescence; fluorescence intensity distribution analysis; iverilog simulation analysis.

  • TEACUP Icon

    TEACUP

TCP Experiment Automation Controlled Using Python

TEACUP automates many aspects of running TCP performance experiments in a specially-constructed physical testbed. TEACUP enables repeatable testing of different TCP algorithms over a range of emulated network path conditions, bottleneck rate limits and bottleneck queuing disciplines. TEACUP utilises a text-based configuration file to define experiments as combinations of parameters specifying desired network path and end host conditions. When multiple values are provided (e.g. for TCP congestion control algorithm), an experiment is made up of multiple tests. For each experiment and test, TEACUP collects a range of data, such as tcpdump files of traffic seen or TCP stack information (e.g. using Web10G). TEACUP also collects a variety of metadata from the end hosts and bottleneck router, such as the actual OS/kernel version(s) used. TEACUP also provides some simple tools for analysing the results of experiments, such as plotting a flow's experienced RTT over time.

  • pyhard2, control hardware from python

An object-oriented framework for the development of instrument drivers

pyhard2 is an object-oriented framework to help in the development of instrument drivers. pyhard2 is proposed as an alternative to LabVIEW. Emphasis is given on serial drivers but the framework can be used with any socket. The source also contains the implementation of a PID controller and a setpoint ramp generator. The instrument drivers may further be incorporated in a GUI, using, e.g. PyQt or PySide. Threading is automatically taken care of. Furthermore, generic GUI (called controllers) are provided and can be extended.

    Ada industrial control widget library

A GUI library for designing gauges, meters, oscilloscopes, plotters

A library that is intended for designing high-quality industrial control widgets for Ada applications. The widgets are composed of transparent layers drawn by cairo. The widgets are fully scalable graphics. A time controlled refresh policy is supported for real-time and heavy-duty applications. The library supports caching graphical operations and stream I/O for serialization and deserialization. Ready-to-use gauge, meter, oscilloscope widgets are provided as samples as well as an editor widget for WYSIWYG design of complex dashboards. The software is based on GtkAda and cairoada, the Ada bindings to GTK+ and cairo.

Fortran codes for SCNURS method - Side Cut Non-Uniform Residual Stress

SCNURS - Side Cut Non-Uniform Residual Stress measurement method for plates, - is a destructive RS measurement method developed in Moscow, Russia and later in Bristol, UK. The method is specifically designed for the measurement of highly non-uniform RS fields, including discontinuities, in plates. This project collects all codes which implement forward and inverse solution to the RS problem. The codes are in modern Fortran with OpenMP. The codes are distributed under 2-clause BSD license. The code uses Lapack (http://netlib.org/lapack), Slatec (http://www.netlib.org/slatec) and CMLIB (http://gams.nist.gov/cgi-bin/serve.cgi/Package/CMLIB) libraries. All these libraries are available as packages on FreeBSD. Another project page: http://eis.bris.ac.uk/~mexas/scnursweb
