ASTERIX DARR (Display Analyse Record Replay)processes, decodes, displays, records and replays (tracks/plots) EUROCONTROL ASTERIX messages. It is a a full plot/tracker display providing filters, different map overlays, indication of the “track in coast” state, moving labels, and assigning CLF (Cleared Flight Level). Every display parametar (color, font, size etc..) is configurable. Additionally supports: 1.ASTERIX stream Recording (up to 11 different data streams) 2.Replay of ASTERIX “replay” Recordings in the original or up to 10 X faster speed 3.Opening of ASTERIX “raw” recordings in raw format to analyze and visualize data in Local or Google Earth Display 4.Export of imported/captured data in KML/KMZ format in order to analyze/visualize it in Google Earth. 5.Export of live/replayed data in real time to Google Earth 6.Forwarding of ASTERIX data streams between networks or to a different multicast address/port. 7. Support for RMCDE 6 byte header ASTERIX format

Real-time production information is needed to optimize manufacturing activities in a factory, but acquiring this information from isolated proprietary equipment is a manual process that takes time and introduces errors. Connecting equipment to the factory network can make accurate production information immediately available, but widespread interconnection of equipment has been inhibited by the lack of common information models and methods to measure performance and conformance. This project will develop and deploy a measurement science-based performance and conformance testing framework to enable real-time factory floor monitoring and optimization of manufacturing applications.

A very simple tool to automate benchmarking tests on MySQL DBs. It fills MySQL tables columns; perform customized tests; and outputs the results on CSV format. It uses Xeger, a java package for generating random text from regular expressions (http://code.google.com/p/xeger/). Xeger uses dk.brics.automaton java package developed by Anders Møller (http://cs.au.dk/~amoeller/automaton/index.html).

Lloyd's Algorithm-based Volumetric Analysis for AFM Images
This MATLAB-based program enables analysis of AFM images. In particular, it allows the user to measure the volume of all distinguishable features in an image and to isolate and sort those particles. As the name implies, LAVA uses Lloyd's Algorithm, also known as k-means sorting, to identify a small set of volumes representative of the actual distribution of particle in the image. Although developed for determining feature volume, LAVA is also completely compatible with other types of image analysis, such as fluorescence intensity. Work is in progress to provide three-channel functionality, allowing comparison of relative intensity of red, green, and blue channels in multi-color images.
Create networks of embedded devices for data logging/automation tasks.
LabMonkey is a collection of designs for embedded devices which can be networked together to provide a range of automation, data logging and signal processing functions. A key design objective is to use as little dedicated hardware as possible for communication between nodes in the network, and to be able to adapt the network topology in real-time so as to minimize the occurrence of collisions between packets. To achieve this, a protocol has been designed specifically for the task, and implemented in assembler for AVR microcontrollers. The project is currently at the stage of testing the protocol for bugs and implementing some simple devices which use it.
