Java Disk Benchmark Utility
Simple Java utility to help bench mark disk IO. Benchmark is done by creating and reading data files to a user directory that can be configured. pyOBD-II (a.k.a. "pyobd2") is a Python library for communicating with OBD-II vehicles. Its goal is to make writing programs for vehicle diagnostics and monitoring vehicle data as easy as possible. Relies on pySerial to communicate with ELM scanners.
Measures analog DC signals with the PC soundcard.
With this software and a simple external hardware, the sound card input of a PC can be used to measure stationary or slowly changing analog signals (e.g. voltages). The hardware converts the input signal into a voltage proportional frequency. The software measures the frequency via the sound card and calculates the corresponding input signal level which is displayed numerically and in a “scope-like” view.
A Perl program for logging OBD-II PID data
The goal of the Perl OBD-II Logger project is to create a flexible and efficient application that can capture and log OBD-II Mode 0x01 PID data from an automotive scantool. It is designed with accurate and efficient PID data logging in mind, and provides NO support for reading or resetting diagnostic trouble codes. By default, the output log file contains time-stamped PID values in a simple Comma Separated Values (CSV) format that can be readily imported into popular data analysis or spreadsheet applications. (Output to an SQLite3 database file is also available). It is written in Perl, so it runs in any computing environment with a working Perl interpreter. The program supports scantools that are based on the ELM Electronics ELM327 or OBD Solutions STN1110 programmed microcontrollers. It has been tested with scantools using legacy RS-232 serial, serial over USB, and Bluetooth hardware interfaces. Perl OBD-II Logger even runs on the popular Raspberry Pi computer!

Software for instrumenting a Dobsonian telescope
This projects hold software required for instrumenting an alt-az telescope mount. The required hardware is documented here (http://simonbox.info/index.php/astronomy). The software enables real time conversion from (measured) alt-az to ra-dec and manages a connection to Stellarium (http://www.stellarium.org/), which allows you to view where the telescope is pointing in a virtual planetarium.
Card generator for the russian L1-3/L3-3 tube tester.
KNOWN BUG: G1 on cap doesn't really work since the G1 plug is connected to internal line I. I have to find a way to connect this automatically while checking that line I isn't used already. DON'T USE THAT FEATURE YET. Creates test cards for the L1-3/L3-3 after entering the pinout, test operating point, and nominal values for currents and transconductance. Fixed the missing heating voltage for low-power battery valves and the stuck connections when loading *.tds files after editing a tube with more pins. WARNING: The software is in extreme alpha state, so bugs are not only possible, they are definitely existing in huge quantities. If you want to use the created cards for real tests, check them manually with EXTREME care first .. else destruction of your tester can easily occur. ESPECIALLY check if multiple functions are assigned to the same line (by looking on the universal card), which would lead to shorts. NEW UPDATE: Started to work on the remake again!
Superconducting QUantum Interference Devices (SQUIDs) control software
OpenSQUID is a Python framework for the control of SQUID (superconducting quantum interference device) readout electronics. It currently supports the Star Cryoelectronics PCI-1000 electronics with PFL-100 and PFL-102 flux-locked loops. Simultaneous operation of both PFL-100s and PFL-102s from a single PCI-1000 is supported. More features are under development. The software is implemented in Python and aims to be easily integrated with user-defined measurement and control code.

This Library for Java shall enable developers to use (at first read, maybe later writer) MDF Files, as described by the Format Specification MDF Format by Vector Informatics. The MDF file format is widely used in automotive engineering and other fields for the recording of measurement data. This Java library parses MDF files and enables different kind of read access. If this library is not helpful for a particular purpose it can at least be used to see how the parsing (and therefore how the file format itself) works.

HOPSA, high oxygen pressure sputter automation, is a Python 3 project to control a step wise sample creation Process. Although written for this specific task it is easy to adopt for any experimental task which changes hardware parameters and waits for a specific condition before proceeding. The graphical interface (QT4) includes plotting (matplotlib), instrument configuration/monitoring and a program step creator. The communication with the hardware is independent of the GUI and any number of devices can be selected. To modify the code for any other task only the hardware interface needs to be redefined.
Gesture based movement with CATIA
This project provides a gesture based movement of part objects in the CAD-system CATIA. It is possible to rotate, move or zoom in or out. Further there is a rudimentary speech recognition to change the rotating axes or to do some other helpful things. KinectCAD has been written in Visual C# 2010. The package includes the source code and binaries files. To start KinectCAD it is necessary to have a correct installed Microsoft Kinect. Also it is helpful if there is an installed Kinect SDK V1. Astrophotography Lab (APLab) is a free program intended for anyone interested in astrophotography. It has two main purposes: - Interpreting data extracted from your astrophotos to produce useful information. - Using this information as a help for further improving your imaging results. The program consists of four main tools: an analyser tool, a calculator tool, a simulator tool and a plotting tool. The tools are connected, allowing you to transfer information between them, and easily go all the way from measuring your camera's sensor to finding the optimal settings for your next imaging session. APLab supports a wide range of CCD and DSLR cameras and telescopes by default, and you can easily add the necessary information for your own equipment.
