A C# application for scientists in the area of physical chemistry
The project has been created to develop a software that can help scientists in the area of physical chemistry with focus on foods data analysis tools that are currently mainly done by hand. In the first step, advanced analysis of texture analyzer compression data are provided and the project will be extended over time dependent on the time I can get to continue with it.
Data Base Benchmarking tool
A very simple tool to automate benchmarking tests on MySQL DBs. It fills MySQL tables columns; perform customized tests; and outputs the results on CSV format. It uses Xeger, a java package for generating random text from regular expressions (http://code.google.com/p/xeger/). Xeger uses dk.brics.automaton java package developed by Anders Møller (http://cs.au.dk/~amoeller/automaton/index.html).

Lloyd's Algorithm-based Volumetric Analysis for AFM Images
This MATLAB-based program enables analysis of AFM images. In particular, it allows the user to measure the volume of all distinguishable features in an image and to isolate and sort those particles. As the name implies, LAVA uses Lloyd's Algorithm, also known as k-means sorting, to identify a small set of volumes representative of the actual distribution of particle in the image. Although developed for determining feature volume, LAVA is also completely compatible with other types of image analysis, such as fluorescence intensity. Work is in progress to provide three-channel functionality, allowing comparison of relative intensity of red, green, and blue channels in multi-color images.
LS StopWatch is a multipurpose time measurement application. The program provides a GUI and data storage functions, while the interface to the actual stopwatch remains extensible. The system time or an extern light barrier circuit could be used.
Create networks of embedded devices for data logging/automation tasks.
LabMonkey is a collection of designs for embedded devices which can be networked together to provide a range of automation, data logging and signal processing functions. A key design objective is to use as little dedicated hardware as possible for communication between nodes in the network, and to be able to adapt the network topology in real-time so as to minimize the occurrence of collisions between packets. To achieve this, a protocol has been designed specifically for the task, and implemented in assembler for AVR microcontrollers. The project is currently at the stage of testing the protocol for bugs and implementing some simple devices which use it.

MoViT: The Mobile Network Virtualized Testbed
MoViT is a distributed software suite for the virtualization of mobile wireless networks. MoViT provides researchers and developers with a virtualized environment for developing and testing mobile applications and protocols for any hardware and software platform that can be virtualized. The distributed nature of MoViT allows for the emulation of mobile networks of arbitrary size. Additionally, the network connectivity is shaped transparently such that the connectivity observed by each virtual node resembles that of a physical mobile network.

A Linux driver for RTD DM5408 / DM408 ISA acquisition card. A DKMS module and a dynamic library written from scratch but trying to keep same functions structure of its official Windows 98 driver. I don't recommend it for production. I'm just trying to learn writing drivers for Linux with some interest in Electronics Interfacing. I may try later to rewrite for Comedi.

Get, record, display and save DSO data. RigolDso is a Java application that is useful to get data from a Rigol DS1052E digital oscilloscope. The idea is about to use the DSO for get measure (without PC control) and then easily and fastly transfer data to PC (USB) for documentation of a project. You can show data and parameters about measures save them in CSV files or (in future) bitmap, pdf, ps. I don't wish to control the DSO but read, manipulate and save data. It is a java application but at this moment it work on linux only, but I think it should be easy get it working for M$W. It works but it is a beta version, your linux user has to be able to read and write on "/dev/usbtmc0" (see readme.txt" file).

Screenograma is an interface automation tool with feedback.
Screenograma is an automation tool which allows users to execute sequences of mouse and keyboard actions as well as to provide some visual and audible feedback. The original purpose of the program was to provide the means for design and execution of experimental protocol interacting with the proprietary physiological data recording software. The core functionality needed for this task is to: show instructions to the test subject, start the recording of the physiological parameter, make sound to initiate the beginning of the movement, show target to the subject, capture the results of the experiment, stop the recording and save the result. Currently the program has a minimalistic interface which aids the creation of the script.
