Software for instrumenting a Dobsonian telescope
This projects hold software required for instrumenting an alt-az telescope mount. The required hardware is documented here (http://simonbox.info/index.php/astronomy). The software enables real time conversion from (measured) alt-az to ra-dec and manages a connection to Stellarium (http://www.stellarium.org/), which allows you to view where the telescope is pointing in a virtual planetarium.
An implementation of interval arithmetic
The library provides an implementation of intervals for Ada. It includes arithmetic and relational operations. The library supports intervals with integer and floating-point bounds. Dimensioned intervals are also supported
This desktop application provides graphical control of K8055, a USB Experiment Interface Board by Velleman (http://www.velleman.eu/). It will be mostly platform-independend at a later time. The current (beta) version is for windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 on 32Bit. It is incompatible with all other Operating Systems and with 64Bit architecture. I stopped developing this application. Particle Image Velocimetry
JPIV is a platform independent, graphical stand-alone application for Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) written in Java. PIV is an optical technique for measuring fluid flow velocities.

Set Source Address, Destination address - Port Packet Size Stream Bandwidth And press start Command Line interface available java -jar JPacketGenerator.jar srcAddress srcPort dstAddress dstPort bitRate_bps All parameters are mandatory and with parameters the generator require no GUI or windows manager to work. If The project will be useful I'll post some more detail or helps about the usage.

Java wrapper for native VISA library and TDS3000 oscilloscope driver
Write VISA instrument drivers in Java for Windows and Linux. Maybe the best way to give a full description is to explain the history of this project. History: This instrument driver project is part of of a non open source data acquisition and analysis project used at Colorado School of Mines, JSeisLab. JSeisLab is a Java port of its predecessor "Spectrum Division for Windows" which is written in VB 6.0. Design: I created a 64-bit JNA wrapper with IVI's visa.h version 5.0 as input to JNAerator (https://github.com/nativelibs4java/JNAerator). Instrument drivers written in Java can use this wrapper. A 64-bit VISA library from either an instrument company (e.g. National Instruments, Tektronix) when running Windows or libvisa (http://www.librevisa.org) when running Linux needs to be installed .

This is a project we - ten students, 16 to 18 years old, and one teacher - are currently working on in the so called "Physik-Projektkurs" at school in which we build and program our own scanning tunneling microscope. This software is designed for DAQ systems by BMCM (we use the USB-AD16F), but it should not be too difficult to adapt it to foreign systems.It currently supports resolutions up to 1024x1024, visualization in 2D and 3D using colors from predefined gradients, export to PNG, CSV, OBJ and more! Gesture based movement with CATIA
This project provides a gesture based movement of part objects in the CAD-system CATIA. It is possible to rotate, move or zoom in or out. Further there is a rudimentary speech recognition to change the rotating axes or to do some other helpful things. KinectCAD has been written in Visual C# 2010. The package includes the source code and binaries files. To start KinectCAD it is necessary to have a correct installed Microsoft Kinect. Also it is helpful if there is an installed Kinect SDK V1. Card generator for the russian L1-3/L3-3 tube tester.
KNOWN BUG: G1 on cap doesn't really work since the G1 plug is connected to internal line I. I have to find a way to connect this automatically while checking that line I isn't used already. DON'T USE THAT FEATURE YET. Creates test cards for the L1-3/L3-3 after entering the pinout, test operating point, and nominal values for currents and transconductance. Fixed the missing heating voltage for low-power battery valves and the stuck connections when loading *.tds files after editing a tube with more pins. WARNING: The software is in extreme alpha state, so bugs are not only possible, they are definitely existing in huge quantities. If you want to use the created cards for real tests, check them manually with EXTREME care first .. else destruction of your tester can easily occur. ESPECIALLY check if multiple functions are assigned to the same line (by looking on the universal card), which would lead to shorts. NEW UPDATE: Started to work on the remake again!
Lloyd's Algorithm-based Volumetric Analysis for AFM Images
This MATLAB-based program enables analysis of AFM images. In particular, it allows the user to measure the volume of all distinguishable features in an image and to isolate and sort those particles. As the name implies, LAVA uses Lloyd's Algorithm, also known as k-means sorting, to identify a small set of volumes representative of the actual distribution of particle in the image. Although developed for determining feature volume, LAVA is also completely compatible with other types of image analysis, such as fluorescence intensity. Work is in progress to provide three-channel functionality, allowing comparison of relative intensity of red, green, and blue channels in multi-color images.

Line-scanning particle image velocimetry for analyzing blood flow data
Line-scanning particle image velocimetry (LS-PIV) is an analytical method to quantify blood velocity data generated by many confocal and two-photon excited fluorescence microscopes. We hope that this method will be of use to the research community! The associated files include Matlab code for LS-PIV and example data-sets of measured blood flow in the cerebral cortex of mouse. LabMonkey is a collection of designs for embedded devices which can be networked together to provide a range of automation, data logging and signal processing functions. A key design objective is to use as little dedicated hardware as possible for communication between nodes in the network, and to be able to adapt the network topology in real-time so as to minimize the occurrence of collisions between packets. To achieve this, a protocol has been designed specifically for the task, and implemented in assembler for AVR microcontrollers. The project is currently at the stage of testing the protocol for bugs and implementing some simple devices which use it.
