Modular CNC software for Arduino controller
The goal of the project is the realization of a modular firmware that allows to control a CNC machine with different utensils. For instance, a CNC with a drill, with few changes can become a plotter with a pen or cutting machine to cut cardboard or stickers. In order to do that, we want project a CNC router with a mechanism that allows a fast utensil change and a controlling firmware which can use different utensils changing some configuration parameters.

The Airborne Data Processing and Analysis (ADPAA) package is an open-source software package containing a collection of programs and scripts to process and analyze data from in-situ instruments deployed on airborne platforms. The ADPAA package was started to process data on the North Dakota Citation Research Aircraft but has been used to process data on many airborne platforms. Flashcards application with Spaced Repetition method
Fresh Memory is an education application for studying languages with Spaced Repetition method and flashcards. Its primary purpose is to study and repeat vocabulary of foreign languages. But other disciplines can be studied as well: history, geography, medicine, mathematics. The study material is stored as collections of flashcards. The flashcards may have several fields, and the user controls what combination of fields to learn. The flash cards can have formatted text and images. The look of flashcards and studying parameters are can be flexibly configured.
A tool that uses OpenCL to procedurally generate 3D models
The SuperShaper is an interactive tool to manipulate 3D meshes created from a "Trigonometry Formula" in real-time. The created mesh of up to a million vertices can be morphed interactively. The model is displayed in 3D, allowing customising the rendering. Export to 3DS and OBJ file formats is supported.
Compute parameters of the Bouc-Wen-Baber-Noori model of hysteresis
This toolbox computes the parameters of the Bouc–Wen–Baber–Noori hysteresis model using Multiobjective optimization evolutionary algorithms (MOBEAs). The toolbox uses the NSGA − II algorithm, which is an elitist non–dominated sorting EA. This is a project we - ten students, 16 to 18 years old, and one teacher - are currently working on in the so called "Physik-Projektkurs" at school in which we build and program our own scanning tunneling microscope. This software is designed for DAQ systems by BMCM (we use the USB-AD16F), but it should not be too difficult to adapt it to foreign systems.It currently supports resolutions up to 1024x1024, visualization in 2D and 3D using colors from predefined gradients, export to PNG, CSV, OBJ and more! MISHAP is the open-source MMM in silico simulated spin label to HADDOCK program. MISHAP aims to take spin labelled proteins and the distance distributions between labels from in silico (MMM) calculations or experimental data (from pulsed electron-electron double resonance experiments which have been analysed with DeerAnalysis) and pass them to the biomolecular docking program HADDOCK as docking restraints.
Card-based access control for devices in a scientific lab environment
This projects describes a system for card-based access control with integrated logbook function for scientific devices in a research lab environment. It is based on a combination of multiple Raspberry computers with card readers, a MySQL database and a management interface consisting of a php webpage. The construction of simple electronics to allow or deny the use of controlled devices - by interrupting connection to USB keyboard/mouse or mains supply - is also described. The card-reading unit uses a Raspberry Pi computer (rev. B) with Adafruit's NFC breakout board (connected via I2C port) and a small add-on electronics with green login-LED, red logout-button, buzzer and switching output. The device control software consists of a Python program running permanently as a background job. It makes use of RPi.gpio and Py532lib libraries and Quick2wire's python API. The logbook software is based on a MySQL database and a PHP-driven web frontend, to review and control device usage.

PangInput is a simple application to help you in typing characters from different languages in unicode. Three methods are available: 1) a virtual keyboard, mapping specific characters to each key on your keyboard; 2) custom character sets, which you can select by clicking on them; 3) macro sets, allowing input of complex scripts - basically mapping a latin transcription to the actual writing of characters or words.
