ARO helps physically disabled students to create mathematical drawings
ARO has been developed to assist physically disabled or injured students who cannot create mathematical drawings on paper. It is intended to make maths up to Key Stage 4 more accessible. AQA has agreed to its use in a GCSE maths exam. Anyone who can use a computer with a mouse to access the internet should be able to use ARO. The processes required mimic those of on paper drawing as far as possible. Possible applications include: Graphs of straight lines and smooth curves Compass and ruler constructions Scatter graphs Stem and leaf displays Box plots Histograms Pie charts Simple diagrams. The structure of each drawing is built from individual components which can be placed on the drawing grid without great accuracy. Each can then be positioned exactly using onscreen buttons. The ruler and the protractor can be aligned with any straight line. Drawings can be created on imported background bitmaps. The author was a mathematics lecturer at Plymouth University.

Application for analysis of AFM data
AtomicJ is an application for analysis of force microscopy recordings, including images and force curves. It allows for fast and reliable processing of single force curves and force maps, providing estimation of the mechanical properties of the sample. AtomicJ supports a wide range of contact mechanics models, including the models for blunt tips, the corrections for the effect of finite sample thickness, models of adhesive contact and models of spherical indentation of hyperelastic material. It implements novel procedures for analysis of force curves which allow for greater resistance to model deviations. AtomicJ can process force maps, it generates maps of Young’s modulus, adhesion force, transition indentation, sample height and the deformation. The results of force maps processing can be visualized in 3D.
AutoAffinity was written to help force certain processes to run on only a single core. It works off of a pattern, assigning all executing processes matching that naming pattern to a single execution core. It's especially useful for F@H, S@H, etc.
